Our Location today is Largo,
Florida.
I only had an hour of sleeplessness from 10:30 last night until nearly 8:00 this morning. The Insomnia, a side effect
of Sleep Apnea is sometimes as bad as not breathing when you sleep. Within minutes
of my leaving the bedroom Kathy was up and sitting next to me at the computers where
we only spent twenty minutes reading blogs before turning them off and having
our breakfast. By 9:30 we had eaten
and stowed everything inside the trailer for traveling as we were heading down
south to Largo, Florida
today.
Once I was dressed and finished my inside chores I headed
out to start flushing out our waste tanks. It was surprising that I didn’t even
need a sweater this morning because the sun was shining and the air seemed to
be dryer so it wasn’t as chilly. Within the hour we were rolling out of Rousseau
RV & Fishing Park
for the last time.
We'll miss these old Oak trees. |
We won't miss this thick blanket of leaves that we tracked into the trailer. |
Ten minutes later we stopped at the roadside fruit stand
where Kathy was hoping to find another jar of the Peach-Pecan jam that she had
tried and fell in love with the other day. With no luck we headed another
thousand feet up the road to Nature Coast RV Sales and Service. I had ordered
some parts for the trailer from them the other day and they were supposed to be
in. Most of my order was there but some would not arrive until after 4:00 which was no good for us. Not a problem
they just asked for the name and address of the park we were heading to and
they will forward it to us. That’s what you call customer satisfaction.

Heading through Crystal River we thought it was close enough
to noon for lunch so when you spot a large parking lot with a Wendy’s right
next door you know it’s time to stop. The place was packed but people were
coming and going fast enough that we were out of there in no time at all.
After eating a satisfying meal we were soon back on Hwy 19
for the next 72 miles. Most of the trip was uneventful and moved fairly quickly
until we were passing through the other towns along the gulf coast. Many commuters
were playing dodge’em cars cutting from one lane to the other. In those towns
most times we were stopped at nearly every traffic light. Finally as we
approached the Tampa area we had to
put up with a few miles of construction but that wasn’t too bad. That made you
drive slower with your foot on the brake most of the time but luckily it didn’t
last for long.
Once we took the Largo exit in less
than ten minutes we were pulling into Yankee Traveler RV Park. By 3:00 we were setting up for the night with a
H/W (hydro/water) only site that we preferred because of the view outside out
dining room window. Total distance traveled today was only 87.4 miles.

Another great home cooked meal. |
After enjoying Kathy's version of hamburg helper for supper we can now relax and start exploring the area before the
kids get here tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a
comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

We have a Wendy's just down the street from us. My husband's favorite. I get a potato plain, and a small container of chili and pour it on top of the potato. I get a side order of shredded cheese and some sour cream and add that on top. The hamburgers are ok but but to me a square burger on a round bun is just not right :)
