Our Location today is Largo,
Florida.
Last night before going to bed we sprang the clocks ahead so
we’d be on the same time as everyone else. Since we still went to bed at the
same time we also slept the same amount of time the only difference was the
clock said it was an hour later. Many people think that Daylight Savings Time
it’s a waste of time. Frankly Kathy and I tend to agree with them. Now everyone
has to put up with the confusion our bodies will go through as far as the time
we eat and sleep and do it all over again in the fall.
Nicholas, Tom, Bryce and Marcie. |
After enjoying our visit with Tom,Marcie, Nicholas and Bryce last night outside in all that fresh air we
had no trouble sleeping. Once we were awake we immediately had our breakfast
but when we felt hungry at 11:00 we
had to wait it out so that we can now adjust our eating schedules.
Kathy was into reading one of her Who
Done It books and just wanted to read. I headed outside to clean the
truck windows. Starting with the outside of the windshield and going around to
all the others. When I returned to lower the wiper blades I was shocked that
the windshield was nearly as dirty as before I cleaned it just from the pollen
blowing in the air. The only thing I could do was to finish the inside of all
the windows and redo the windshield one more time before calling it a day.
I also managed a few small chores inside the trailer but it
wasn’t until supper time that Kathy asked an important question that helped me
solve a problem we were having with our televisions. We are using our antenna
at this park which feels strange because all the parks we’ve been at since
January have had cable. In the rush to set everything up on Friday I failed to
reset the television feed button to Antenna because it is buried deep in our
front closet. Once that was taken care of the televisions are now working just
fine.
We decided to go out for supper so we could explore the
immediate area around the park. Of course we found the local Steak n’ Shake where
we tried something different on the menu but it was still just as good. The one
thing that really surprised us was this location was the first of their outlets
we have been to that has a drive-thru window.
This is the first Steak N Shake we have seen with a drive-thru. |
Across the street we explored the Largo Mall which was set
up more like a Factory Outlet kind of mall. We looked around Target and a few
other stores before heading back to the trailer. We were so relaxed that I managed
to drive right by the park and had to go a ways up the road before I could make
a turn around.
Everyone waits their turn to eat. |
We had an honest Anonymous inquiry on our “Picnic and Kayaking Day” post. I have since put the
caption under the picture that those are Tupperware LunchN Things Container for anyone that is interested. It is also cheaper
through the Tupperware Company than on E-Bay that is advertising them for three
times the cost. We have used those for years especially when we used to hike in
bear country they seal up nicely.

We were experiencing hard wind gusts periodically throughout
the day but they have stopped since supper time so we are enjoying a quiet
night. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and
Enjoy!
It’s about time.
