Record Setting and Thinking Vacation.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

The last time I wrote of having Two Nights in a row of good sleep, I spent the next Week trying to repeat it. Erring on the side of caution, I won’t tell you that today.

We both felt refreshed this morning and as our new habit of having breakfast with our Coffees at our Computers, we felt even better. We are watching to schedule any Doctors Appointments or anything else of importance, later in the mornings or early afternoon, just so we can relax and not feel rushed. By 9:00 the phone was ringing just to verify an upcoming appointment.

We even ate at home today, sharing an Acorn Squash for lunch. That also helped clean the Fridge and stopped the food from spoiling.

Once the dishes were cleaned, we headed out the door only wearing sweaters. By the time we got to the Car the sweaters were off. The temperature hit 72 F (22 C) but felt like 75 F (24 C), breaking a Thirty-Year Record.

Going to Guardian Storage the first thing we did was to collect our Mail. In Canada all Tax Related Forms have to be mailed out by the end of February. Now we just have to wait for the last of them to arrive, before filing our returns. We also stopped at my Storage/Workshop Unit so I could safely store all the Electrical Components that I have been purchasing from Princess Auto. We also swung by the Trailer to be certain nothing had happened. When the weather is more consistent, I want to continue getting some Modifications done, so maybe we can even have a few Vacations before my Surgery.

We stopped at Dollarama to pick up a few things including four One Litre Bottles of Brisk Ice Tea at $.91 each. (We share one during our meals.) Looking at the Refreshment Cooler while in line to check out, I showed Kathy that they were selling cold Half Litre Bottles of the same Brisk Iced Tea for Three Dollars. Guess they have to pay for the Electricity for the Cooler and someone’s time to put it in there.

Finally we went to Zehr’s grocery store, for our Produce. In the summer time the Air Conditioner is so high you need to wear a Coat. Today it was comfortable walking around in our short sleeved shirts.

It took a while to get everything put away, but we didn’t mind. With an All-Day Rain forecasted for tomorrow, we are not sure what we’ll be up to.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

How did the hipster burn his tongue?

He drank his coffee before it was cool.

  1. Sounds like a good day! You are easing into retirement by scheduling appts not first thing in the morning. Excellent idea.
