Again I was up shortly before 7:30 this morning so besides getting things ready for breakfast I was able to start reading on my Computer before Kathy got up just after 8:00. There was plenty of Frost on Car Windows from the Freezing Temperature but there was a golden hue to the top of the trees from the rising Sun that just made us know it was going to be a good day.
We had a number of things that we planned on accomplishing today but at the same time it had to be done within a time-frame. We only had a single hot beverage at the Computers as a gauge as to when we should get active. It also gave us an idea as to when we should start making our early lunch.
Kathy made Toasted Bacon and Tomato Sandwiches along with a Yogurt Cup as well as a Nanaimo Square for dessert. We even passed on our lunch time cup of Tea as a way of prepping ourselves for the afternoon.
We arrived at Guardian Storage minutes after noon and immediately headed to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. When we went Fulltime we placed a few pieces of furniture along with other things in Storage from our Two Bedroom Apartment. When we moved into this One Bedroom Apartment this past fall we made it comfortable without over crowding it with furniture.

We had already mentioned a few things we were going to get rid of and someone expressed interest. Since it is forecasted to Rain tomorrow we had to get this done today. There were other articles that we were also passing on so while Kathy searched the Boxes that I brought forward I was able to dig out our Oak Sideboard that was still protected in Clear Wrap. With help from Kathy it was loaded in the back of the Car along with other things. There was a noticeable empty space in the Storage Unit when we left.
We were headed for Amherstburg shortly after 2:00. Our first stop was Pharma Choice to fill the Prescriptions we had just gotten yesterday. Kathy waited in the Car while I went to bring them in but I couldn’t. Even though the Pharmacist were working inside the Door was locked. I had to wait for someone to come to the Door wearing a Mask and Latex Gloves to take Scripts from me. Staff only were being allowed inside. We had to wait in the Car until another Staff member brought it out to us.

It was nearly 3:30 when we finally left with our Medications. We were too early for one thing so we headed to the recently opened Wendy’s. We could only go through the Drive-Thru but we had a coupon that made our tasty meal much more reasonably priced.
With more time to use up we headed to Walmart. Nature was calling Kathy’s name so while she took care of that I got a Shopping Cart. There were workers inside the door that sprayed our hands with Anti-Bacteria Gel then wiped down the Shopping Cart. Trying to keep everyone healthy. Like the grocery stores not all their shelves were fully stocked and they had Red Tape spaced every Six Feet on the tiled floors as an indicator for Social Distancing. What we looked for they didn’t have so we ended up buying a small Black Forest Cake to bring with us as a snack.

Since I had verified our visit with our son Kevin last night he parked their Van on the road so I could back in closer to the house. After I brought a Box inside Kevin helped me bring the Oak Sideboard inside. Since she started working at home this week Melissa had just finished her shift as we were backing in at 5:00. We all enjoyed a piece of the Black Forest Cake and had a wonderful visit.
We were back at the Apartment just after 8:00 but we had a few more things we brought from our Storage Unit to put away. We’ll be watching the 11 o’clock Local NewsOur Temperature reached 61 F (16 C) today making it comfortable to be outside.

Tomorrow we plan to go back to the Storage Unit in an attempt to get more accomplished. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Busy people!
I have to go to Shoppers tomorrow to pick up two prescriptions. Not sure how it will be there. M. went to Walmart today and was able to go to the pharmacy department to pick up the vitamins he likes. They were sanitizing the carts, but he did wear gloves.

  2. You guys go out a lot!

At least all the places you visit seem to be making a real effort to fight the coronavirus. Since I am in self-isolation I have no idea what is going on in my town.

  3. Not a good thing to use public rest rooms at this time.

  4. I think I need to get out more too!! You sure begin to feel isolated when you don't go to town occasionally. Maybe just a trip to Wendys!!!

  6. Sounds like you have a plan in place to get your storage unit emptied. We plan on downsizing to a smaller one when we get home. Take care.
