With the drop in overnight temperatures outside it was enough to make us stay under the covers until this morning. After a simple Banana for breakfast we sat at the Computers just long enough to finish our Coffee/Tea and to make a List.

Even though I had wanted to go back to the early Seniors Shopping at the grocery store yesterday Kathy decided it wasn’t necessary until this morning. My idea was that stores especially the grocery stores always try to have their shelves stocked for the weekends and we were still short a few supplies they didn’t have on Wednesday.
By 10:00 we were on the way to Guardian Storage and our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Some of the things on our List were Shampoo, Soap and a few other things. Since we were well stocked in the Trailer and the shelves in the stores were nearly bare we thought we’d try to use up some of our stock.
That crossed quite a few things off the List but there were somethings we really needed. We had to take a chance and go to Zehr’s grocery store. Walking in the door they had Hand Sanitizing Stations set up along with people disinfecting the Shopping Carts. The paper product aisle was still bare but everywhere else we walked in the store there were Signs hanging from the shelves limiting only Two Items per purchase as a way to stop the Panic Buying. When we approached the checkout there was a double line across the front of the store and someone was reminding people to give one another space. One line was for Ten Items or less and the Second was for larger purchases. No Cash was being excepted and when you went near the cashier if the previous customer was not finished you had to wait until they were gone before putting your items on the belt. All the employees were wearing Disposable Gloves.
Back at the Apartment once everything was put away we popped a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza in the oven for lunch. Fifteen Minutes later it was done just the way we like it nice and crispy but not burnt.

We finished our reading on the Computers finding more of or RV Friends having gotten back to Canada safely before we tackled a few other chores. When Kathy decided to check the News Channel I pulled out my Exercise Bench and Dumbbells and spent a Half Hour working out some of the Kinks that were setting in.
For supper we had Vegetable Soup, Cheese and Crackers along with a piece of Strawberry Rhubarb Pie for dessert.

After watching our 6 o’clock Local News we watched a couple of Hallmark Movies. All and all it was a wonderful day. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Limiting what people can buy would sure help. None of that happening around here though.

  2. The only limits here are on toilet paper and hand sanitizer. I was amazed at how cheerful the cashier was because the lines to check out were nuts.

  3. We are all getting used to a new norm and learn to adjust. The limit on items one can purchase at one time makes sense but might force us to visit the stores more frequently then we would like to.

  4. I am glad that they are finally placing limits on things that are on high demand in your area. Looks like your store is doing all it can to keep its customers safe.

When the public finally realized it was not "a hoax" I could not believe how people were loading up cart fulls of water and paper products...it was crazy but I blame the stores for not limiting the quantities...I believe the clip I saw was from a Costco in California.
