Changing Plans, Shopping In Our Storage Unit and Getting Things Together.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

After not sleeping so well the other night Kathy slept like a rock last night. I managed to get a couple hours of sleep before I started staring at the ceiling wishing I could fall back to sleep. In the end I spent an Hour and a Half on the Computer waiting for the Extra Strength Tylenol to kick in. A couple more hours of sleep and I was up before 8:00 this morning.
Our Sunrise
There was more Frost on the Cars and Roofs today and anyone that was outside was bundled up against the cold. We did enjoy seeing the Sun shining brightly and not just from behind the Clouds like we had all week.
While having breakfast we discussed what we needed to accomplish today. Since we went Fulltime we knew that like the weather things change from moment to moment. We were supposed to get quite a SXXW Storm on Christmas Day but looking at the extended forecast this morning shows no SXXW that entire week.
We made it a Two Cup Morning while reading and getting ready to go out. We enjoyed Split Pea Soup with a Cheese Stick for an early lunch while topping it off with a Yogurt Cup for dessert and a Berry Berry Tea for a refreshment.
Our first stop was again Canadian Tire where we put our $50.00 In-Store Coupon to good use. We do expect to have Company come to visit and rather then having them fall all over the place taking their Wet Boots off we purchased a Hall Seat/Tree. Not only did we save money from the Coupon but the unit we purchased was “On-Sale” at Thirty Percent Off. I also looked for a replacement Positioning Stop for my Work-Mate Bench that I purchased before our Fulltiming. The only way to get them is to buy another bench.
From there we headed over to Guardian Storage first to check our Mail then to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. When we moved our Kitchen Cabinets and Cupboards were not large enough to bring all our Food Stocks in. Now that we are better organized and we are running low on some of that Food we shop from our Stock in the Storage Unit. You might ask where all these Food Stocks came from. The Trailer of course which will tell you how small this Galley Kitchen in the Apartment really is.

Kathy needed a few inexpensive items for decorations so we stopped at Dollar Tree before going over to Dollarama. Between those Two Stores we still needed to go to Walmart to get the remainder of what was needed.
We again stopped at Arby’s for an early supper. Still using the sheet of Coupons that we received we enjoyed their Cheddar Melt Roast Beef Combo at another savings.
By 4:00 they were starting to fill up so we drove over to Home Depot where I again tried to find a replacement Positioning Stop with no luck. We also stopped to take a few pictures of their Homemade Christmas Display that all the Ontario Home Depots compete for each year.
Back at the Apartment by dropping Kathy off at the Front Entrance she was able to save me the last Shopping Cart so I could bring everything in at once. As soon as that was done I busied myself assembling our Hall Seat/Tree. We listened to the 6 o’clock Local News while accomplishing a few things. We later watched a couple of Hallmark Christmas Movies.
Not sure if we’ll do tomorrow what we didn’t do today but we’ll let you know then. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Your temperatures are chilly but at least the sun came out. You guys stay busy all the time. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your Hall Seat/Tree.

  2. I love the Home Depot displays! I don't think do that here other than tree displays.

  3. Benno has a Work-Mate workbench also and you might check with the Rona store to see if they still carry the positioning stops as they had previously. You know groceries can weigh a lot, especially cans and beverages and I have been mindful when packing up our travel trailer, but you can probably carry more weight than we do.

  4. I wish our Home Depots would do those displays..very clever! Wow that must be a small kitchen if you are "shopping" trailer stock.

  5. Those are fun displays at the Home Depots. It is amazing how much room we actually do have in an RV.

  6. You might look on Amazon they have replacement parts and kits.
Been warm here. I think the thermometer said 74 degrees yesterday. I did see a cold front coming down out of the north for next week. But it's still shorts type of weather.
    Stay warm and dry.

  7. You two are still running around getting organized. Before you know it, it will be time to get back on road I hope. That tire store must carry more than tires.
