Cutting Up Some Projects.

Even though I stayed up later reading Blogs that were posted last night I still managed to sleep soundly until 8:00 this morning. Due to my exercising yesterday I had even less body aches that didn’t need anything to calm them down.

I was already reading the Blogs posted this morning when the phone rang. It was my sister Anna from London verifying our Christmas Eve visit because this year her daughters and families will be getting together here in Belle River.

While Kathy and I had breakfast we realized just how little time there is before Christmas Day. Since we’re expecting Visitors I’ll have to get more of our projects finished so that my Tool Bins can be returned to the Storage Unit and not stacked here in the Apartment. That meant changing today’s plans and the time on my Computer was cut back to a Single Cup of Coffee.

I set my Work-Mate Bench up near the Apartment Door so Kathy could still move around freely. The first thing I did was to cut the Wood that would go behind our Love Seat Recliners. Due to the Laminate Flooring no matter how careful we are sitting down the Love Seat always ends up tight to the Wall. By placing Sixteen Inch Long Wooden Boards between the Wall and the Love Seat should stop it from moving.

We had a Caesar Salad along with Macaroni and Cheese for lunch along with an Apple Sauce Cup for dessert as well as Berry Berry Tea for a refreshment.

The next thing I cut were pieces to mount the Brackets for the Curtain Rods in our Bedroom. Whoever had installed curtains here before left a bunch of holes in the Walls making it difficult for the next person to do so. Once the Pendant Plates were made it required installing Plugs to make them secure.

Kathy spent more time cleaning up old files this afternoon that have accumulated while we were Fulltiming.

I also took the time to cut the wood to make the Doors for our End Tables. All the Wood that I cut today was by using a Handsaw. It worked quite well cutting across the grain but was a bigger challenge when it came to ripping lengthwise in the direction of the grain.

It was past 5:30 when we had supper . Keeping it Lite we had Toasted Tuna Sandwichs with a Fruit Cup for dessert.

We watched the 6 o’clock Local News before watching a couple of Hallmark Christmas Movies. Hopefully We’ll do tomorrow what we planned for today. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. It took me hours to fill all the holes left from old curtains in my house. Why do people do that? They still look bad, and now I have to paint the entire room. The board behind your chairs ... good idea!!

  2. Brilliant idea re the board behind the love seat. Sounds like your new home will be all spruced up in time for holiday visitors. Please bear with me as I can no longer comment on certain blogs including yours unless I sign out of Safari and start Chrome. I am reading each of your posts though.

  4. I still think the Handyman idea is a good one. I would hire you to put up the curtains I have yet to hang after three years.
