With night-time temperatures in the Mid-Forties we were a little too warm sleeping under our Winter Bedding last night as a fact we had to push them partially down in order to stop sweating. By the time the Sun started lighting our day the inside temperature was comfortable enough not to wear our Housecoats while having breakfast.
After our usual morning reading on the Computers while we drank our Coffee/Tea and our chores I was busy folding down the backseat and loading all the Christmas Gifts in the Car. It felt wonderful looking around inside the trailer and no longer seeing the clutter of the Gift Bags. Even some of our neighbours commented on all the Gift Bags we had loaded in the Car.
Being that we really hadn’t rushed to get started we were nearly at Windsor when we realized the time and with everything else on our list we thought it was wise to have an early lunch. We stopped at Wendy’s where we both had a Chicken Wrap off their Value Menu along with a Senior’s Soft Drink. It was tasty and satisfying without making us feel stuffed. As we were getting ready to leave everyone else was coming in for their lunch because it was then noon.
At Guardian Storage the first thing we did was to pick up our Mail. The next thing we did was to drive back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Since the outside temperature was already at 72 F (22 C) I had Kathy on Door Duty. As I unloaded the Gift Bags and brought them in near our Unit she would open and close the Door for me so as to not over-run the AC. Once it was all inside it took less then Fifteen Minutes to have them all stored and we were back on the road.
We headed over to Princess Auto where I wanted to pick up a Shield that they had On Sale. Kathy was looking around the Surplus Area while I looked for the Shield. Not finding it I was on my way to the Service Desk when I ran into Dwayne a Millwright I used to work with. After learning what he was up to and telling him what we were doing he gave me some pointers on how to make it better.
After finally finding and purchasing the Shield as I was putting it in the Car I noticed the rolls of Christmas Wrapping Paper Rolls that were still on the floor of the backseat under the folded seats themselves. Back at our Storage Unit it took Two Minutes to add them in the Unit.
When we visited our Optometrist we were told it would be a week before my new Computer Glasses would arrive from the Lab in Toronto. Being that it was now Ten Days we thought we would check if they had arrived. Kathy stayed in the Car while I went in to inquire. The courier had just dropped them off not even a minute before I arrived but they felt tight so I had to wait to have them adjusted.
It was past 2:00 when we left there headed for Home but we noticed the Dairy Delight on Howard was now open for the season. Since we normally stop in at least once a year and we have been cutting down on our intake quite a bit we decided to stop for a small Cone. The weather was perfect for sitting in the Car enjoying our Tasty Treat.
Back Home we both did some research on the Computers until 4:30 when Kathy warmed up a couple of small Personal Sized Meat Pies for our supper and served Fruit covered Cottage Cheese for a dessert. Once the Dishes were cleaned up we drove the Truck over to the Trash and Recycle Area before heading out of the Park. We took the Truck in an effort to exercise it and to let it Regenerate (Clean) the Diesel Particulate Filter.
We arrived at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s shortly after 6:00 for our weekly visit. With the heavy Cloud Cover we thought we’d be hit by more Rain any minute. We enjoyed the great conversation with plenty of laughter along with plenty of Tea. As we were getting ready to head for Home the Clouds were nearly all gone and the Sun was shining brightly. Kathy managed a couple of Sunset Pictures while I was driving.
Kathy has an appointment in the morning and I’m hoping to get more things accomplished setting up our Site. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  5. Congratulations on completing the wrapping and transferring it to your storage unit.

I did not know Wendy's had a seniors menu.

I have one question...you mention at this time your storage unit had the a/c turned on...at what temperature does it kick in? Does the same hold true in winter and the heater turns itself on?
