With
the overnight forecast for heavy Fog in
our area we chose to sleep with the Roof
Vents closed and the Windows open.
That would give us plenty of Fresh Air
without as much moisture getting inside our trailer. The one thing about all
that Fresh Air is that you sleep
like a rock and have a hard time waking in the morning.
It was
past 8:00 again this morning when I got out of bed. Being Retired I shouldn’t be too concerned about the Time but I just prefer a slightly earlier time to start my day.
Opening the Window Shades at that
time it was difficult seeing the Golf
Course at the end of our street. Checking The Weather
Network showed we were again basking
in 100% Humidity.
It was
only a short while later that Kathy made her way downstairs feeling as Groggy as I had when I got up. That Fresh Air will do it to you every time.
After a lite breakfast we settled at the Computers
getting our morning reading completed. We had plans for this afternoon so
it was a slow morning. Kathy
made Toasted Cheese Sandwiches and
had Yogurt Cups for our dessert.
It
was just after 12:30 when we went out the door headed for the Windsor Rehabilitation Center to visit with our friend Vera. The Humidex was on the rise so I dropped Kathy
at the door before going to park. It seems like a bad habit that their Permit Machine goes down on the
weekends making you have to find another Machine
on the other side of the building for your Permit.
It
was 1:00 when we walked into Vera’s room to find her sitting in her chair. Her
face instantly started to shine. She told us how someone had taken it upon
themselves to change one of her Medications
which cause her to be sick for a couple of days. We talked about a lot of
different things all pertaining to our getting ready to head south. Vera
brought up the Trip we shared with
her and Bill the Summer of 2012. It
made her smile even brighter. It was nearly 4:00 when we said our Good-Byes with the promise of coming back
soon.
We
had other errands that needed to be taken care of, so our next stop was at Guardian Storage where we first picked up our Mail before going back to our Climate
Controlled Storage Unit. Since Kijijji will not let us advertise the
CPAP that we are trying to sell for
our friend Kathie, we put it in Storage until
we get back next spring.
We
made a stop at Wendy’s for our Value Menu Meal. Even at $9.22
for the both of us to eat is still a bargain.
We
arrived at our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh just before 5:00 to find them
getting ready to go out to some friends. We hadn’t planned on staying long
anyways so we had a short visit with her and Greg sine we haven’t seen them since
Greg’s birthday Three Weeks ago. Sanford
was more then happy to see us. He even stopped eating his supper to nuzzle up
to us before finishing his meal. I’m wanting to start packing the Basement before we hit the road so I picked
up our Compressor that I had loaned
to Greg while he worked on his Harley.
We
have been forgetting to pick up additional Systane
Eyedrops for Kathy so we stopped at Shoppers Drug
Mart before
we forgot again. With the use of these Drops
the Floater she developed after
her Cataract Surgery is slowly fading
away.
Since
we were so close we stopped at the Zehrs grocery store on Manning Road to get a few things. On our way Home we topped the Car at the Pioneer gasoline station after not
having seen prices this low in months. With more to do before we leave and more
Hot Humidex Days heading our way, we’ll
be doing what we can when we can do it. Thank you for following along and feel free
to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

You Might Be a Redneck If
You've used liquid nails on an open wound.
Those darn permit machines. They never work when you need them!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHave you considered taking the CPAP machine with you this winter? There'll be lots of people there who use them.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about the Systane eyedrops. I have floaters and my dr said there was no easy treatment. I googled Systane and they appear to be for dry eye, not floaters .
