Making Adjustments, Mapping Our Route and Guarding Tess.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

We were both up around 8:00 again this morning. I’d barely had time to turn on my Computer when Kathy joined me for breakfast downstairs. The way the Sun was coming up it looked like we were going to have a wonderful day, but we didn’t see any Golfers.

Before we got to the Computers the Trailer started getting jolted with hard gusts of Wind. As soon as my Computer was On-Line, The Weather Network was flashing the Red Warning Banner across the top of the screen. Not only could we expect a Humidex of 102 F (39 C), Severe Thunderstorms but we would also be getting Wind Gusts of nearly Forty MPH all day. That meant I wouldn’t be in too much of a rush to work outside.

After reading all the Blogs we follow I tried making some adjustments to the Countdown Counter on our Sidebar. This is the first time that widget has not functioned properly and the more I tried to fix it, the worse it got. Just when I finally thought that it would work properly, nothing would show on the Blog.

Even with all the wind blowing by 11:00 we had to turn on our Air Conditioner in order to cool down. For lunch Kathy served a wonderful Garden Salad, a Chicken Breast along with Homemade Cranberry Sauce and Blackberry covered Yogurt.

With the Table cleared off we sat down to start marking our Maps with our intended route as well as a number of stops we want to make. That was only the beginning though. While Kathy continued researching the main attractions we are wanting to see on this trip I was busy using Map-quest to plot out our other daily stops. We want to travel at a slower pace this year with less distance and fewer hours on the road per day. Kathy was telling me to slow down because she hadn’t had the chance to check out the other stops that I was choosing. We’ll also be avoiding overnighting in large cities.

Due to the continual High Winds Kathy shot down my idea to grill our supper on the Weber. She instead decided we would have Pancakes topped with Blackberries and Cool Whip. Another Tasty but filling meal.

Wanting a break from researching on the Computers we watched the movie “Guarding Tess” with Shirley MacLaine and Nicolas Cage. It was Comedy about the Secret Service guarding a former First Lady that didn’t want to listen to those that were protecting her. Very Funny!

The Storm that passed us by this afternoon caused severe damage in our Nation’s Capital, Ottawa. With less wind tomorrow and comfortable Fall Temperatures we’ll be trying to get caught up on our outside chores. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Oh my ... that is some crazy weather you are having. I always tell myself I'm going to slow down and not travel so far each day. Somehow it never works out that way!!!

  2. We travel real slow. If we go through a small town that looks interesting, we park the motor home and walk the streets and looking in the stores.

  3. Pancakes look wonderful! We always find when we travel we have a general route and then it usually changes day by day :) Everyones different for sure.
