Before
going to bed last night Kathy expressed that she was really tired from all the
errands we ran so I told her to just sleep in. I was up shortly after 7:30 this
morning and had all the Window Shades up
along with getting things ready for breakfast. Let’s just say Kathy listened to
what I said and practically came running downstairs when she looked at the time
on the clock upstairs.
With
there actually being a Windchill
this morning it was strange seeing the Golfers
and Walkers wearing Long Pants and Jackets. Some of the Walkers
were even wearing Gloves. Listening
to the Wind rattle our Slide Toppers and the occasional gust jarring
the Trailer told us it was time to
pull out warmer clothes. It’s still summer for a couple of weeks isn’t it?
What our weather looked like all day. |
Once
we’d finished with breakfast and our Eyedrops
we took our Coffees to the Computers. Kathy’s new Drops seemed to be helping her Eyes much more than the Visine that was making her Eyes feel constantly dry. Since I’d
already finished most of my reading I turned my attention to the Medication Spreadsheet where I keep
track of all our Medication and Vitamins. Since I fill our Pill Doucettes every 45 Days I’m not tied down doing it every
Saturday evening. What I had to make certain was that I will have enough Vitamins to complete the task on
Monday. We also bring all our Vitamins and
Medications that we’ll need while we
are away so I also marked down how many of what we need to get before leaving.
For
lunch we kept it lite by having Split
Pea Soup with Ham with Grapes for dessert. Even though we had left the Windows closed the Soup
helped to warm us up. It was shortly after lunch that we headed out not only to
break the onset of Cabin-Fever but
to do more errands.
We
headed for Amherstburg to do some shopping. Kathy had planned
on going to Walmart but I had other plans. We went to Shoppers Drug Mart where I used the List of Vitamins from
this morning to stock up on especially if they were “On Sale” but only got what was needed if they weren’t. Kathy went
to find a few cosmetics that she needed while I did that. We also picked up
another bottle of the Systane Eyedrops that the Optometrist recommended yesterday.
We
were right next door to the No Frills grocery store so we picked up a few
things that we need now and stocked up on a few others we’ll be bringing south
with us.
We
finally made it to Walmart where we did more walking
then anything else but we still walked out with a couple of packages of Precooked Spareribs. They are precooked
so reheating them on the grill is easy, seasoned and cost less than the fresh
cut ones but when they are “On Sale”
like they were again today hard to beat. One package feeds the both of us. We
also picked up a snack that would satisfy us enough that we skipped supper.
Back Home after the groceries were put away and I had logged in all the Vitamins we decided to watch the movie “This Means War” with Reese Witherspoon.
It was a Romantic Spy Comedy that
kept us laughing. Thank you
for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

We have to stock up on medications before we head out and it gets interesting trying to figure it all out. But our real issue is making sure we have enough of the dogs' medications.
ReplyDeleteThere are Systane Ultra eye drop sample bottles the Eye Surgeons have to give out. Also coupons without expiry date. But if you run out and can't get any in the states, maybe they have "hydraSense" which is a very good product I found.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good movie on a cold and rainy evening, isn't it?
It's so hard to believe that all our friends are getting ready to head South..seems as everyone just got home! How time flies. Sounds like a great movie and I love Reese Witherspoon..great actress!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I even know what medications and vitamins I take. Len fills the daily pill containers. Thinking I need to keep on his good side.
ReplyDeleteYea, cooler weather coming soon. Fine with me.
