Pleasant Ride, Fun Visit and Evening Power Outages

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

We were both up around 8:00 this morning and were surprise to see clear blue skies. That also meant that there were plenty of Golfers out taking advantage of the Cooler Temperatures.

We enjoyed a Two Cup morning at the Computers and as soon as I saw the Temps for the day started opening Windows and Roof Vents. Since the Night-Time low had hoovered in the Mid 80’s until just before Sunrise when it started dropping so that meant we could shut the AC for today as well.

Of course they turn their back to you just you snap the picture.
We finished our refreshments and were soon out the door to get in some exercise by riding our Tandem Bicycle around the Park. Kathy enjoys the ride because she leaves the driving to me but she is still getting her exercise. Today we rode the majority of the Streets Twice which means we are slowly increasing our distance so that we’ll be ready for longer rides when we get to the Southwest.

For lunch Kathy made us Perogies with Cheese and Bacon, along with a Peach for dessert.

I gathered the trash and was planning on going to the Park Workout Room but when I went to get rid of the trash realized the weekly Jam Session was going on at the Clubhouse so I Nixed that idea.

I ran into Russ on the way back and was asking him how he and his wife liked their new Montana. He says they have a list of Warranty Issues that need to be addressed and the Dealership they bought it through is giving them a hard time.

For supper Kathy was made a Garlic Egg Noodle Dish and served some Sugar Beets while I was outside grilling some Unseasoned Turkey Kabobs on a Grill Mat. While I was doing that our neighbour Pat was struggling to put Aluminium Foil over their Coleman Grill. I explained how easy the Mat would be but she had never seen one. She got to see our Kabobs getting cooked and was quite impressed. Our supper tasted wonderful and even though we’ve reduced the size of our meals we were still very satisfied.

Kathy washed up the dishes while I closed and covered up our Weber.

Shortly after 5:00 I walked over to the Park Overflow Parking Area to retrieve the Truck. Since we were heading for our Weekly Visit we thought it would be wise to take it to see if there were any Glitches we need to have taken care of before we leave. I picked Kathy up at our Site before we headed to Amherstburg.

We have missed our visits for a few weeks because Melissa was taking Classes after work. Kevin has been making progress on his Street Rod. Both Cameron and Matthew are happy to be back at School to be with their friends. Melissa served some Homemade Oatmeal Bread topped with Moose Tracks Ice Cream as a snack. It tasted wonderful.

We left shortly after 8:00 to head over to the Walmart to get some groceries that we needed. It was nearly 9:00 by the time we were on our way Home.

For the last 4 nights it seems the Park loses power at 10:00. Normally it’s only off for seconds but tonight it was off for over a Half Hour and nobody is running their ACs tonight. It doesn’t sound that bad but it causes our Internet Connection to be down for about Ten Minutes after the Power is back on. I’ll be checking at the office tomorrow.

The next Two Days the Forecast is for high Humidity and Rain so we’ll see what else we can do to keep ourselves busy. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Looks like a nice day you both had. How fun on the bike before it got too hot to enjoy. Sounds like a nice visit you had.
