Living with Changes.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Going to bed last night in the apartment was a whole new experience for us. Our apartment faces south and that is where the main parking lot is located with all its security lighting shining brightly along with the sun into our bedroom. The reason it’s a new experience is that yesterday we removed and packed away the room darkening drapery that helped to keep most of the outdoor lights out. Last night before we went to bed we multi folded one of our bedsheets that will be going into our storage unit and taped it over the wall opening. The room truly was not as dark as usual but enough that the outdoor lights didn’t keep us awake all night. After getting up this morning the room had a strangely yellow glow.
After our usual morning routines Kathy busied herself wrapping more of the Cxxxxxxxs gifts that we have in the apartment so they can temporarily be moved to the storage unit as well. With our plans to move what we need into the trailer we don’t want them getting damaged or lost.
Once we’d finished lunch we needed to run a few errands and besides that Kathy said we’ve done such a good job of moving so far that we deserved “A Day Off”. Our first stop was at Sears at the Devonshire Mall where Kathy needed a new pair of pants and it helped to pass some time out of the apartment. All this work has given us a case of Cabin Fever.
The weather has been fantastic the last few days with near summer like temperatures. We both packed away most of our clothes and shoes including our sandals and Kathy couldn’t stand it anymore. We stopped at Guardian Storage and went to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Knowing exactly which clear plastic bin Kathy’s shoes were in by the large labels that listed the contents it was an easy find. The bad thing was when we opened the bin it was like Kathy had just found a long lost friend and was about to bring the entire thing back to the apartment. It took my reminding her that she wasn’t going to change her shoes that many times for the few days we’d still be living in the apartment.
Before heading back to the apartment we made a quick stop at Walmart. Kathy had done some online research and found out that she could use a certain cream that Walmart sold to treat a rash that other creams seem to be leaving irritated.
With the outside temperature once again reaching 73 F (23 C) we chose to grill some Salmon on the Weber Q for supper. Kathy made a wonderful Caesar Salad and Asparagus for sides and everything tasted sooo good. We are looking forward to many more meals like this. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
