Getting Serious and Making Progress.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

By the time I’d closed down my computer for the night Kathy was already asleep but it didn’t take me long to nod off either. This morning at breakfast I expressed that even after sleeping soundly I still felt tired even with no dreams like the night before. Kathy mentioned that even though I hadn’t dreamt again she had woken a few times through the night to see my arms flaying about as if I was physically working. We are so looking forward to being in the trailer so that we’ll finally be able to relax and get some rest.
While enjoying breakfast we were amazed after the cold temperatures we had last week that it was already 50 F (10 C) at 8:00 in the morning. People were outside in jackets instead of being bundled up in parkas but the sun was still hidden behind a cloud cover.
Once our morning reading was finished I took the time to notify our old insurance company that we would be cancelling their services as of the 16th of this month. Kathy had been with them for over fifty years but when they said they wouldn’t insure us as Fulltimers it was a parting of ways with no tears. More companies will continue to lose customers if they take stands like that.
After lunch Kathy and I worked together to start making the last set of light-darkening curtains for the trailer. With all the sizes written down we cut the last six panels using the floor as a large table. Next Kathy used her iron and ironing board to create pleats where she needed to sew the side seems. After she demonstrated how to tie the threads together she continued the sewing while I tied the ends of the seams. At that point we realized we’d be short of trim for these panels. We drove back to Fabricland where we managed to find the identical material in no time however Kathy now wanted to create curtain ties as well. It took nearly an hour before we were heading back to the apartment.
We were emotionally tired by then so we put the curtains aside and started making supper. Since it was 57 F (14 C) this afternoon Kathy started preparing an Acorn Squash and some Asparagus while I fired up our Weber Q to cook a nice steak we could share. Everything turned out great and to us that is a sign that spring has finally arrived.
We have become so committed to seeing our Fulltiming Adventure come to term that we continue to search the apartment on a daily basis to see what we can pack away that we are no longer using to speed up the process. Today we packed a couple more boxes that will find their way to our Storage Unit. We’ll have to see what we accomplish tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
