Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario,
Canada.
It must
be Spring! We woke up to the sun peaking around the curtains again this
morning and we didn’t mind one bit. Watching the Weather Network while eating
our breakfast made us happy to be inside because even with the sun out the
temperature was only at the freezing mark.
We had
plans to continue to get things finished inside so after Kathy had finished her
morning reading she returned to finish the light darkening curtains we’d
started yesterday. The only thing I help her with on those was for pinning
their lengths and tying the ends of the seams.
When it
got closer to lunch Kathy took out the ingredients from the fridge and went
back to finish the last of the small curtains while I started chopping
everything nice and fine. By the time I’d finished chopping things for lunch Kathy
had finished the curtains and returned to mix the ingredients for lunch while I
continued chopping the vegetables for the Homemade Chicken Vegetable Soup.
Lunch was tasty and filling and gave us a break from our projects.
We’ve had
family question why we didn’t just buy the drapes we are making. The reason is
RV windows are a different size than anything readymade. Since Kathy has
arthritis in her hands and hasn’t done a project like this in over thirty years,
it is taking longer than it would take most but we are also Retired and
don’t have to rush. We also decided yesterday to make tiebacks that would match
the curtains so after lunch we were busy cutting the material for the larger
curtains.
I finally
got the soup simmering on the stove and cleaned up the dishes while Kathy started
the first set of tiebacks. By the time the soup was ready to rest I was able to
start helping once again tying off the seams. They actually look like they were
store bought so we are happy with the results. Trying to engineer how to create
these caused a lot of stress and by supper time Kathy was packing it in for the
day.
The Homemade
Chicken Vegetable Soup was delicious and there is another serving for
tomorrow. There are a couple of things you might find us working on tomorrow
but it will all be towards getting closer to our Fulltiming Adventure which
will begin in less than two and a half weeks. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

"Are them real?"
We are lucky we don't need room darkening, go to bed after dark and wake up before sunrise.
ReplyDeleteKathy is so lucky to have the gift of sewing. My mom was a great seamstress. I, on the other hand, am lucky to sew a button back on.
ReplyDeleteDon't stress...it will all work out just fine.
It is fun fixing up your RV and giving it that personal feel. Sherri loves to redecorate now and again to make a change is good for living in small places.
