Getting Things Done And Beating The Weather.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We were both up close to 8:00 this morning without too much in the way of things pressing to do we went about our normal routine. We did however have an appointment at VitalAire this afternoon and we want to show that we were accomplishing something towards meeting our goal of Fulltiming. As we watched the Weather Network on television they were showing that we could expect a couple of days of cooler wet weather this week and next. That would cause a major problem as far as getting the trailer ready to move to Wildwood Golf and RV Park this weekend. A decision was quickly made that I would load the truck while Kathy made our lunch and we would be on our way shortly after eating.

We arrived at VitalAire moments before my appointment so we only had a short wait. The CPAP mask I have been using for the last year has been a constant problem with air leakage to the point I now have a severe windburn rash on my face. After the Respiratory Specialist checked my records she recommended a totally new style of mask and helped me set up a loaner for me to try for the next few weeks. Hopefully this will stop the windburn that I have on my face.

We arrived at Guardian Storage shortly before 2:00 this afternoon and immediately stopped for our Mail. We then headed over to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit where we added to our growing inventory of things already stored. Once this first round of articles was secured we drove over to our trailer. This is where things started getting interesting. After opening all the trailer’s slides we added a few more things that needed to go in the trailer as well as taking a few things back out. I removed the drawer from under the main room sofa and was more than surprised that the sofa itself was not fastened down to the floor. (I had been told that by someone at General RV when we were having problems with our other sofa. I had thought that they were just stringing me a line but they weren’t.) Since our intention was to remove this sofa and put it in the storage unit when it wasn’t raining we decided this afternoon seemed the perfect time.

Since the trailer is located at the end of a row I was able to back the truck very close to the trailer door. With Kathy’s help we removed the back and were able to load it into the truck bed. Again we headed back to the storage unit where for the second time in as many hours we moved things around in order to make all the pieces of the puzzle fit. When that was nearly finished it was time to reinstall the fifth wheel hitch back in the truck. Amazing how that opened additional space. Back at the trailer while Kathy busied herself securing the inside for travel I climbed onto the roof to fold down our Solar Panels and remove the Air Conditioner Covers. It was nearly 5:00 when we left Guardian Storage and we were both feeling hungry. What else could we do but stop at Taco Bell where we used another coupon to enjoy another satisfying meal.

We stopped at the apartment long enough to watch the 6 o’clock News before we drove over to our daughter Karen’s house for a visit. They had a get-together with Greg’s friends on Sunday so we simply rescheduled for tonight. Our grandson Tyler was suffering because they had just gotten home from the Orthodontist where he had his first set of braces installed. We visited longer than we normally do on a school night but it was good getting caught up.

Tonight we both have sore muscles from the work we did today and there is still more to do. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
