Lots Of Progress And No Coupons.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Minutes after going to bed last night while wearing my new CPAP mask I was struggling to readjust it. Finally, too tired to stay awake I was forced to go back to my old mask. It seemed that no matter how I adjusted the new mask the upper seal kept allowing air to escape thus blowing air directly into my eyes. Definitely not the easiest way to fall asleep.
We're really getting Anxious to be on the road soon.
We woke to another beautiful sunny day so while we enjoyed breakfast Kathy suggested using our small bistro patio set to eat on and getting our dining room set into our Climate Controlled Storage Unit which we had planned on doing in after moving into the trailer. That would make it easier to clean out the apartment as we got closer to the end of the month.
Our temporary dining table.
Those are Cxxxxxxxx Gifts already wrapped along the wall..
After quickly getting caught up on our morning reading Kathy started doing more packing while I disassembled the dining table and started saran wrapping the furniture. By lunch time the back seat of the truck was full and the bed of the truck ready to haul furniture.
Where ever the truck is pointed there is an adventure in that direction.
Once lunch was finished and everything secured in the truck we were on our way to Guardian Storage. Our first stop was at the office where we collected our mail. Our second stop was at the Storage Unit itself where we spent nearly an hour rearranging things to make room for the larger furnishings that are yet to come. Lastly we stopped at our trailer where after opening all the slides we started adding the toiletries in both the bathrooms as well as getting other supplies put where they belonged. I also took the time to remove the lower waterline drains and opened up the water faucets in order let the RV Antifreeze drain from the lines in preparation to adding fresh water to the system.
Life is not about the destination but the journey.
We then returned a bicycle carrier and bolt on hitch receiver that we’d purchase from Princess Auto back in January. At that time we had thought it would do a better job at carrying our three bicycles better than our present one made for two bikes but I later determined it would cause too much torque on the center of the trailer bumper. Since purchasing them they have been stored inside the trailer unopened and unused. A quick look at the packaging by the clerk and they issued a full refund with no argument.
Part of the journey.
Kathy had received a letter in the mail the other day so we had to return to our Accountants to drop off this document. They will evaluate if it is legitimate or someone attempting to pull a scam. If that’s the case then we’ll be notifying the authorities.
Our apartment is really starting to look empty and we are both getting anxious to start our Fulltime Adventure. Not knowing how busy we’ll be that first day in the trailer Kathy suggested we go out for a Pre Fulltiming dinner. After cleaning up at the apartment we went out to Red Lobster where we like to go once a year. Marc our server immediately asked if we were celebrating something special and Kathy told him. The service was excellent as was our food and even the price was reasonable for our order. (No Coupons Here). While I was paying Kathy further explained what Fulltiming was and Marc was amazed. He had never heard of such a thing and wished he could do it. (When you tell people they can they don’t believe you.)
We are looking forward to many more Sunsets like this.
Watching the 6 o’clock News we were shown a forecast of amazing weather for this weekend. We think we’ll be getting a lot accomplished here at the apartment and at the trailer. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. You two are really moving along. One bit of advice that we did, and I am glad we did. We finished getting ready to FT two days before our departure date. We then took the next two days to spend several hours pretending we were living in the motor home. We found several things that needed attention that we didn't even think about like adding a full-length mirror to the inside of the bathroom door. Even though we have mirrors on our closet doors, I wanted to be able to see below my waist. Just some food for thought.

  3. We lived in our motor home for several months before the sale of the house closed. That made us all the more sure we were doing the right thing. You will enjoy!
