Frustrations and Home Cooking.

Even though we managed to get to bed early last night it was almost 8:00 by the time we woke up this morning. We were both asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow. The only thing we could think that would have made us sleep so soundly was the Fresh Air and Physical Exertion we had yesterday at the Storage Unit.
We’d barely sat at our Computers at 9:00 when our Family Doctor’s Office called. We were reminded of our Appointment for tomorrow but since the Social Distancing and Stay At Home recommendations are in place they asked if we still needed to talk to the Doctor by phone. We both felt we were doing good at the time and felt we could put off this present appointment. They will be in the Office at reduced hours in case they are needed. Nice of them to save us from driving there for no reason.
After a few minutes of reading those we follow it was time to get on the Phone which was like banging your head on the wall. While I was doing that Kathy was busy getting things in the Crock Pot for supper. We worked together making Baked Beans on Toast for lunch with an Orange, Cookies and Yogurt Cup for dessert.

The Plan was to spend the afternoon back at the Storage Unit with 55 F (13 C) temperatures but instead it was more time wasted on the Phone. Even my Plan to again exercise went out the window.
It was after 5:00 when Kathy plated the Roast Beef with Carrots, Potatoes and Onions. It was more then satisfying and there’s more for other meals.
We watched the 6 o’clock Local News only to be told of Local Losses due to the Coronavirus. This is not the kind of thing we are wanting to hear especially with Kathy’s weak Immune System.

This was not a day for accomplishing much so we’ll hope tomorrow turns out better. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Some times I have to give up pushing about things and just sit back and let the events play out. It usually works out anyway.

  4. The phones are as bad as the grocery stores. It took me 35 minutes of waiting to cancel an order I placed. Why don't they have people on the phones??

Sure wish I could sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow like you are able to do.

  7. I recently started following your blog and am enjoying it very much. I always enjoy seeing what different bloggers have for meals. I need all the ideas I can get. One of my pet peeves is having to wait on the phone to talk to a person.

  8. I called the Yolo County tax assessors office. I had a question about a report. I went thru the menu, picked the number for the department I needed. THEN there was a message that the office is closed until the end of the month. I would have appreciated that message at the very beginning. Take care!
