After
having enjoyed a wonderful early summer day yesterday we woke to a
Cloud covered sky with signs of an overnight Rain in
the parking lot below. The first thing I checked on the Computer
was The Weather Network
that showed the temperature was only going down due to an
advancing storm front.
We
kept lunch simple by having Vegetable Soup with a Cheese
Stick as a side then Grapes and Yogurt Cups for
dessert.
Most
of the afternoon was spent surfing different channels on the
Television but no matter which channel we turned to they were
all talking about the Coronavirus.
Even though some areas seem to have flattened the curve others seem
to be just getting starting.
Hard to see the Grapple. |
It
was past 5:00 when Vera called to touch base with us. While Kathy was
talking to her I looked out the Balcony Door to see what
appeared to be a very fine SXXW turning things white. The
Weather Guessers call it Grapple. Within seconds it
turned back to Rain and the landscape was once again green.
For
supper Kathy made a Garden Salad with a Toasted Bacon,
Tomato and Cheese Sandwich.
Our high this afternoon. |
After
watching the Local News we
watched a couple of episodes of Forensic Files before watching
an episode of Law and Order. We needed a break from reality.
Our
temps should be back up to the 50’s
by
the weekend. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.
Krackers
You
know you are getting old when
the
only time the world beats a path to your door
is
if you're in the bathroom.
Glad to see that spring may be on the way for you.
ReplyDeleteWe were watching so much of the 'news' that it was significantly affecting my moods and so now we check in with it in the am and again around supper. Although I will often leave the TV on just muted so if there is any 'breaking news' we will still be alerted.. this was mostly because of the Boris Johnson situation (we're both English).. I find this helps significantly with my ability to mentally manage the new normal.
ReplyDeleteYou are so good friends to Vera thank you for looking after her.
ReplyDeleteFunny how our weather mimics yours. We've got a cold spell for the next few days too.
ReplyDeleteJust like Nancy mentioned we are also in for a cold spell. Of course here in Mississippi that means some high 50's. Stay safe and healthy,
ReplyDeleteHopefully Vera is doing well. You do have a really nice view from your apartment.
