Better Sleep and A Run On Vitamins.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Slowly we are recovering from the lost sleep we experienced due to the power outage the other night. When we woke this morning we both felt rested plus we had the bonus of the Sun rising in a sky that was free of Clouds. Checking The Weather Network we were happy to be inside rather then freezing outside.
Since local authorities are trying to encourage everyone to “Stay at Home” and “Stay In” as much as possible we figured we’d wait until later to run a single errand. We have been continuing to spend more time on the Computers then we really like to but we keep occupied.
We worked together modifying what should have been a Caesars Salad by adding finely chopped Onion, Celery and Ham then topping it off with shredded Feta Cheese. Tea Biscuits, Yogurt Cups and Mixed Berries was our dessert.

We washed up the Dishes together before going back to the Computers. While there I made a list of the Vitamins that we would need before I worked on our Pill Doucettes in a week.

Around 5:00 we realized that the Salad we had at lunch was gone so we added the last of the shredded Feta Cheese on a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza. A Half Hour later we were enjoying a tasty supper that wasn’t over filling.
After watching the 6 o’clock Local News we headed over to the nearby Shoppers Drug Mart so that I could pick up the Vitamins that I’ll need. Kathy just wanted to get out of the apartment but stayed in the car while I put the Mask and Gloves on to go in. When I found the Door locked and the New Hours posted next to the door we headed to the Shoppers Drug Mart at the Tecumseh Mall. They were open but there were hardly any Vitamins there and the ones that were there we don’t use. When I asked the clerk she said they hadn’t been able to keep Vitamins stocked since the Pandemic started.
We headed over to another Shoppers Drug Mart where I did get a few Vitamins but not all. The shelves were well picked over just like the other store had been. The fact that this was Thursday where by using our Optimum Points Card we saved 20% off the purchase helped ease some of the frustration.
We managed to see a bit of the Sunset this evening on our way back to the Apartment. Nothing like we see in the desert in Arizona. At home we watched another Hour on the Coronavirus before watching a new episode of Law and Order.

Even though we still have enough food in stock I’ll be getting up early tomorrow to go to the Seniors Only Shopping to top up what we used. The temperature will still be a bit on the cold side so we might wait until Saturday to do more work at our Storage Unit. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Yeah, as soon as they said vitamins helped your immune system, the shelves went bare. Not surprised!!

  2. Today will be our 4th time off our property since March 13. Len has a follow up to his cataract surgery. I am to remain in the car.

The other trips were to get a meal to go at Cracker Barrel, pick up bird seed, etc at Tractor Supply and one pick up at Walmart. We sure are saving on diesel and gasoline. In each instance our purchases were delivered to the car. We filled the truck in December with diesel. Still more than 3/4 full. And only put in $16.00 of gas in car in March. Still reading full.

I think if we lived in an apartment we would find more reasons to get out. But as it is, our getting out means mowing, bush hogging, weed whacking, duck feeding, bird feeder replenishing and letting dog in and out, in and out, in and out.......

  3. My fella did really well finding our vitamins at another store. He got a huge bottle of Vit C at Rexall. Biggest bottle of Vitamins I've ever seen.
