Rearranging, Finding Leads, Forgotten Camera and Fun Visit.

We were up shortly after 8:00 this morning but there was something brightening the rooms before we got up. It was so uplifting to see the Sun even before we had the Blinds opened and we were looking forward to it. As soon as we sat down to have breakfast it disappeared behind a wall of Clouds. That actually set a new record where the Sun was out for about Ten Minutes which was more then we have seen it all week.

We had the Leftover Manwich from last night for an early lunch and an Applesauce Cup for dessert.

While Kathy did up the Dishes I went downstairs to see if there were any Shopping Carts available. Fire Marshals don’t like those in apartment buildings because they cause hazards to Firefighters so they actually limit the number allowed. I was surprised to find Four by the rear entrance so I took the largest one there.

Back at the Apartment I loaded all the Storage Bins that we had gone through. The problem in a Single Bedroom Apartment is you can only fit so much before it becomes cluttered.

Armed with our List we were soon out the door. Our first stop was Canadian Tire. As mentioned yesterday the LED Light Strips we purchased for under the Cupboards had very short leads. When I checked the Electrical Section they had nothing that would fit.

Our next stop was at Guardian Storage where we stopped at the Trailer. I put the roll of Clear Wrap inside the door so we can protect the Dining Table while our Trailer is away. While it is back at the Jayco Factory someone might go inside and maybe drop Tools on the Table. By wrapping it it should be protected against damage.

Without leaving the yard we drove over to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. I had to do some rearranging but we were able to add the Storage Bins from the Apartment and not have to worry about having an avalanche. We also gathered a couple pieces of Wood that I’ll cut to length to stop the Love Seat from hitting against the wall in the Apartment.

We headed up to the Office where Kathy spoke with Carol and Wendy while I checked our Mail. We also talked about our former Hobby as Certified Cake Decorators. They were amazed to hear the stories we were telling them about the I.C.E.S. Conventions we attended and meeting many of the TV Stars there. It was a lot of fun until it became too demanding. Another Life.

We stopped at Home Depot looking for the Leads for those LED Light Strips. Not sure if they’ll work but we might have gotten lucky.

We stopped at Dollarama to pick up some Pens but we also managed to get some walking in before heading to Burger King for supper. We used Coupons that helped keep our expenses down.

It was past 5:00 by the time we were headed toward Amherstburg. It was at this point we were witness to a beautiful Sunset but it was also at that moment we realized we had left the Camera back in the Apartment.

Our first stop there was Pharma Care the drug store we have been dealing with for the last Three Years. Environmentalists proved years ago that people flushing old Medications down the Toilette or throwing them in the Trash were actually contaminating our Drinking Water. Even though the Sewage is filtered much of the Chemicals from the Medication was still being discharged into our Fresh Water Supply. When the Trash broke down in the Landfills and was exposed to Rain the Medications would get into the Ground Water before joining our Fresh Water Supply. In Ontario and possibly more places realized that the most practical way of cleaning your Medicine Cabinet is to bring it to a Drug Store. Steve was more then happy to properly dispose the Outdated Medications for us at no charge.

It was slightly after 6:00 when we arrived at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house for a visit. Between Melissa having had to work overtime and an emergency with her Mother it has been a few weeks since we’ve gotten together. Her Mother is much better now. We never run out of things to talk about and we always have fun visiting.

It was nearly 9:00 before we headed for Windsor. Along the way we drove by lots of houses really decked out with Christmas Lights and our Camera was not with us.

Reading the Comments left on our Blog our Good Friends Wayne and Sue were teasingly taunting us from La Posa South near Quartzsite. We truly miss being there this year and hope to go back next year. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  4. Great idea unprotecting you dining table. I always worry about them walking all over the carpet in their dirty footwear.

  5. I usually always grab my camera when we walk out the door but it never fails the one time it gets left behind that is when the best picture opportunities take place.
Another busy day for you two but it is nice to get things taken care of I am sure.

  6. Del Rio finally has two places where we can take our old medication to be disposed of properly. For years I had to take them to Houston or San Antonio.

I have been meaning to ask you a question for days now but with my CRS I forgot what it was :-(
