Morning Appointment, Finding Things and Fun Afternoon.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Even though we once again had to set the Alarm for this morning’s Appointment we were so tired from our lack of sleep Sunday night that we slept like a couple of rocks. By doing so I managed to be awake before the Alarm went off. Waking to an Alarm puts your body into a Hyper Mode so it is so nice to wake up slowly. As soon as I had breakfast ready to serve I woke Kathy with a Good Morning Kiss.
Hard to see Flurries.
We were watching SXXW drifting by our Windows as we ate breakfast then we barely spent time enough to check Today’s Weather Forecast which showed it was on the cold side when the phone rang. It was Mary from Healthy Heals here to take care of Kathy’s feet. This was her first time seeing Kathy in this apartment so when she was finished her work Kathy gave her a quick tour. She agreed that we had nearly double the space as to what we had in our Trailer.
After Mary left we managed to spend a little time reading a few of the Blogs we follow before it was time to make our lunch. While I made Split Pea Soup to eat along with a Cheese Stick Kathy made a teapot of Berry Berry Tea to go with a piece of Chocolate Cake for dessert. Everything tasted wonderful helping to warm us up on the inside. The Tea helped us to put our Thinking Caps on and start writing another List.

As soon as we finished eating we were heading out the door. Our first stop was Green Shield to drop off the Claim Form given to Kathy by Mary. By dropping it off today we should have the Refund Cheque in the Mail by next week.
Our next stop was Guardian Storage where Kathy talked to Carol while I checked our Mail. We then drove back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. We still needed to find a few things that we had not found yet even after all the Boxes and Bins we had gone through. After moving our Clothing Racks we found the only Three Boxes we had not looked at since the move started. We found the Lamps in One Box the Shades in another and the Stereo Speaker in the Last One.

As soon as we stepped back outside the Cold Air hit us and we needed to warm up. Since a Train was blocking traffic on Jefferson Avenue we headed towards Central Avenue and the Tim Horton’s there. Those coffees did a remarkable job of warming us up and allowing us to relax. We had the chance to talk about a few other things we needed to do today.

Our next stop was the Devonshire Mall on Howard. Since this is December I dropped Kathy near the door and lucked out getting a parking spot as someone was pulling out otherwise I would have had quite a hike to the next visible one.

The business we were looking for is called David’s Tea. Ever since we visited Annabelle’s in Kingsville and tasted a wonderful tasting Tea we’ve tried finding something similar more locally. They had a Tea Ball that will make it easier to hold the loose Tea but they also had rows upon rows of different kinds of loose Teas to try. We walked out with a few different Teas to try.

It’s been a while since we walked around this Mall and we were surprised that many of the stores we were familiar with had been relocated. Bentley’s was One of those so we stopped in. They sell Luggage, Purses, Wallets and Fold Up Shopping Bags made of Nylon that fit perfectly in a Purse or a Pocket. With most places charging you for Bags these days we both picked one up.

Walking around the corner we came across the Soup and Salad kiosk. We often ate at their Amherstburg location until it was suddenly closed this past Summer. Seeing this location had us both thinking of what we would like for supper. We each had a Diet Pepsi, a bowl of Chicken Gumbo Soup and we shared a Greek Chicken Wrap. It was tasty, satisfying, healthy and reasonably priced.

After enjoying our meal combined with People Watching we headed for home. We enjoyed a mug of Hot Chocolate while we watched a couple more Hallmark Christmas Movies. Tomorrow holds no Appointments but looks like we’ll really be busy. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. You guys stay busy! If you have a chance I would love to see a pic of the nylon fold up shopping bags.

It was cold and rainy today so I blew off this day and watched a Hallmark movie this afternoon.

  6. You two are the most going people I know. Looks like you had a day of accomplishments. Just be careful driving in snow, but I know you're used to it.
