Third Time’s a Charm.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Once again I slept so soundly that I was wide awake before 7:00 again this morning. Kathy again had a slightly less relaxed night and spent nearly another hour catching up on her sleep. It didn’t take too long to have breakfast as we watched the Weather Channel telling us that we could expect even more of the white stuff that made a total mess of the parking lot.

Finally getting to the computers we started reading about the loss of a popular commenter “Butterbean” Carpenter in a traffic accident. At some time or another if you wrote an RV related blog “Butterbean” had left you a comment our blog included. We always hope to meet other blog writers as well as the commenters but I now know that we won’t be meeting “Butterbean” in this life time. Our prayers go out to his loved ones that will now have to carry on in his absence.

About midmorning our daughter Karen called asking if we could run an errand for their family. It seems the kids have managed to lose their house keys and were just using the keypad on the garage door as a means of getting in and out of the house. With the s@#w that this area received yesterday their garage door won’t operate. So could we get more keys made?

After lunch we went to Home Hardware who we never have any problems with the keys they make. It only took minutes for them to make three keys and we were on our way to Karen’s house to try them out. This was a first when only one out of three keys would work as we have never had a problem with their keys before. Kathy stayed at the house while I returned to the hardware store for them to redo the two keys. They apologized for the inconvenience and redid the two keys. Again back at the house to try them and I was in shock when only one of them would work. I probably spent more on fuel than the value of the keys but it was the principal. After recutting another key it finally worked the way it was supposed to. The old saying of the third time is a charm definitely held true today.

By the time we got back to the apartment the landscaper was there plowing the parking lot. Unfortunately he had to clean between parked vehicles which was really tricky. Word must have spread through the building that he was trying to clean the back lot and soon all the vehicles were moved and in no time the back lot was clean.

Tomorrow with less than a week and a half before we leave things will really start getting busy. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Why are army sergeants like dentists?

Because they are both good at drilling.

  1. We tried having some keys cut at the Home Hardware in Arkona last fall. After 4 tries we gave up.
