Trying to be Helpful and Shopping.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Kathy slept like a log last night I was kept busy making certain the clock was keeping time properly. By 7:00 my back said it was time to go sit in the living room and await the arrival of the sun. Once my presence was missed Kathy was joining me to watch for the sunrise but somehow it stay out of sight for the entire day remaining hidden behind the clouds.

With the morning computer reading finished Kathy and I were getting dressed when our granddaughter Kylla called. We had offered to take her downtown to the Federal Office so she could renew her passport so she was calling to say she was nearly ready. Arriving minutes later at the house the phone was keeping Kylla tied up but Sanford didn’t mind one bit because Kathy gave him extra treats and I gave him extra play time.

I dropped Kathy and Kylla off at the Federal Building and went in search of a parking spot for the truck. Having been to this same office before and it had been a lengthy wait I figured I’d reorganize the back seat of the truck. It only took me five minutes to do that and another five minute walk in 25 F (-4 C) along the Detroit River to get to the building. There was Kathy and Kylla sitting there waiting for me. The Bureaucrats have changed the rules and even though Kylla is eighteen years old she still needs a note from her mother saying it’s alright to renew her passport. W.T? She can vote but she can’t renew her own passport! We’ll be back on Monday!

We took her to A&W where we used coupons that kept our cost low. We actually prefer eating at home mostly and mom and pop restaurants but when we are across town we use the fast food places. With Kathy’s diabetes she has to keep her meals on a regular time schedule or her sugar either goes through the roof or drops like a rock. Besides this gave Kathy and Kylla time to visit because we are either gone or Kylla has been working a lot lately.

Heading back to Tecumseh we dropped Kylla at a friend’s before Kathy and I continued on to the grocery store. After spending an hour looking for everything on our list we had to go to a second grocery store in order to get the things the first store didn’t have.

Now we have things to do and places to be along with watching the time grow shorter before we leave on our next adventure at the end of the month. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Valerie: I already have to wear socks and a sweater in the middle of summer. Now the thermostat is even lower, because the women in accounting are having hot flashes! Can't they take drugs or something?

Rena: GASP!

Valerie:What? It's not like they can hear me.

Intercom: VAL STONE TO ACCOUNTING PLEASE...VAL STONE TO—

Rena: Duck!
