Prepping and White Stuff on the Way.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Kathy had a few wakeful moments last night but otherwise slept solid even sleeping until almost 9:00 this morning. Myself I feel my sleep patterns of today are due to the sleep patterns I had before my retirement. So even though I was up a few times through the night I forced myself to stay in bed just to rest until nearly 7:00 before my back said it was time to go.

I had gotten breakfast ready to serve, watched the Weather Channel and read all the morning blogs before Kathy even stirred. While eating breakfast we saw the effects of many winter storms that have taken place across the globe and then we were told to hold onto our shirts. Starting this evening all the way until tomorrow night that white stuff that we won’t talk about is supposed to more than blanket everything across the lower section of Ontario.

While Kathy read her morning blogs I got down to business getting things readied in the kitchen. We had a number of things in the freezer that needed to be cooked in order to make them last. We were so involved at what we were doing that it wasn’t until we started feeling hungry that we noticed it was after 1:00 and we hadn’t had lunch yet which is not good for Kathy’s diabetes.

We finished the last of the homemade Chicken Noodle Soup with a piece of Cheddar Cheese and apple sauce for lunch. Back in the kitchen we spent the better part of the afternoon doing the dishes and cleaning up. I then printed out two sets of data sheets that I had researched back in October for us to have when we head south.

Kathy had a taste for Fish and Chips for supper tonight so we went over to the Michigan Diner on Manning road. As usual ordering from the Senior’s Menu we fulfilled our appetites but yet we didn’t over eat plus we saved three dollars off the normal price.

Since the weather is going to get messy Kathy and I thought it would be a good idea to top off our pantry at the grocery store. This way we’ll just stay warm inside our apartment until the roads are clear to travel. We’ll also hope that this will be the last of this white stuff before we leave in less than two weeks. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I bet you're anxious to leave that white stuff behind. Love the senior size portions - just enough!
