It was only minutes after the Blog was posted that we were both in bed last night. All the fresh air and the Enjoyable visit we had with Tom and Deb just made us so relaxed we went right to sleep the moment our heads hit the pillows. We were so at peace that we also slept in this morning meaning that I didn’t get the early start outside that I had wanted.
After having a lite breakfast we took care of a few indoor things that had to be done along with our morning reading. Since it was past 11:00 and the effects of breakfast had passed we decided to have an early lunch. Having a bowl of Kathy’s Homemade Chicken Noodle and Vegetable Soup with a slice of Bread from Coyote Fresh Foods hit the spot but we still had an Orange and a Pudding for dessert to totally satisfied us.
By noon both of us were involved in things that needed to be done. Kathy was busy dusting and oiling all the Woodwork in the Trailer to protect it from this dry climate.
After some quick calculating I was busy using the Hacksaw cutting braces for the Wind Generator Tower from the old Antenna Mast. Once I’d finished cutting the Twelve Pieces needed it was time to start the assembly but the Wind was blowing just a bit too hard so after repositioning the Truck I was able to get started. Again using the Honda Generator to power the Welder it was past 2:30 by the time everything was tacked but I needed a short break for a drink of Water. Kathy was inside sweating from her exertion while I was outside practically freezing from the cool breeze.
A Funny Face Sunset.
Not having a proper workbench the set-up wasn’t perfect and the fact that I was using and Arc Welder rather then a MIG added to the time spent filling the gaps. I managed to completely weld the One Frame but still have another couple of Hours to finish the Upper Frame that will support the Wind Generator itself.
It was past 5:30 when I got the Pork Chops from Kathy to grill on the Weber. While they were cooking I was busy packing everything away for the day as well as getting a few Sunset Pictures. Kathy was inside cooking Perogies and Peas for the sides. Everything tasted wonderful and was very satisfying.
We both enjoyed nice Warm Showers this evening before settling in at the Computers. Hopefully the Generator Tower will be completed tomorrow and it will be up and running to help keep our Batteries fully charged during Cloudy Weather. The High Winds forecasted for Sunday have been downgraded to Moderate so that in itself is good news. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
