Dealing With Our Accounts.

Since Kathy hadn’t been sleeping too well the last couple of nights she decided to take a Tylenol to solve the problem and it worked great. Maybe I should have joined her kind of like a Night-Cap when years ago we had an Adult Beverage to calm ourselves down because I spent most of the night awake.
By the time I finally woke up the Sun was shining into our Windows and there wasn’t a Cloud in the Sky. I still had time to get started with my reading on the Computer before Kathy came downstairs. The only thing we had planned for today was an errand and to take care of our Banking so we made it a relaxing morning.

Having read lots of Blogs this morning we see lots of our friends heading somewhere down the road but due to the high cost of Truck Repairs this winter we’ll stay where we are for the time being.
Even after having a Lite Breakfast because of this mornings low activity level while Kathy made payments from our Bank Account I was busy getting things ready for lunch. We had a Pork Sandwich that we shared along with a bowl of Minestrone Soup and a Yogurt Cup for our dessert.

We travel with Two Credit Cards in case one gets Compromised. Back at the Computer to start checking our Accounts the very first one we had a snag. It was telling Kathy she was entering an “Incorrect Password” and we should call using one of our Phone Numbers that were listed. We had never seen those numbers in our lives.
Kathy’s days of straightening out these messes has passed and she starts to get stressed so it’s become my job. We both still needed to be on the line to get these things straightened but I do most of the talking. Kathy also has trouble hearing what is being said because of Background Noise and the person’s Accent. When this person finally said that we’d have to go to the nearest Branch to prove who we are that’s when I asked for his Supervisor.

When the Supervisor came on the line I again quickly explained where we are and the problem with the Phone Numbers not being ours. Five Minutes later everything was fixed and he was telling us to enjoy our time down south. We were telling him to stay warm as well. That took over an Hour to get someone who knew what they were doing to fix our problem.
The next Credit Card Company has changed its Security System just since we left Ontario back in November. Now whenever Kathy wants to check our accounts we have to get a Security Code sent to us to enter before we can access our Account.

Kathy was a Bookkeeper/Accountant/Office Manager through her career and everything has to check out before she is satisfied and it’s a good thing because that’s how she has found charges to our Accounts in the past that were not ours.
Even with a south breeze this afternoon it felt a bit cool so we didn’t sit outside. For supper I grilled a nice Hawaiian Pizza on the Weber Q. With the breeze it only took an extra Five Minutes to cook but it came out perfect and we have more for lunch tomorrow.
According to The Weather Network we’ll be getting a bit of Rain along with some slightly cooler temperatures in the next few days. Back in Ontario our kids would love these temperatures as right now they are in the grips of the Polar Vortex. We can only hope they stay Warm and Safe. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  3. Yeah Kathy, you just keep doing what you have to to keep those accounts accurate.

  4. My banking facility recently made a big change and a merger at the same time. I was terrified for it to happen. Absolutely nothing went wrong. I was flabbergasted.
