Windy Day For Errands and More Rain For The Desert.

Our Location today is at the La Posa South, LTVA, Quartzsite, Arizona.

The Sun was mainly hidden behind a wall of Clouds when I looked out the Window this morning but looking at the Clock on the wall I knew it had been time to get up. I did a few other chores before getting things ready for breakfast then moving on to my Computer. Looking outside you would see waves of Dust blowing across the road towards the Water Fill Area.
As soon as we’d finished our morning reading Kathy started working on her Bookkeeping by entering everything onto the Expenditure Spreadsheet that we use to monitor our spending. While she was doing that I was making a list of things that we would have to purchase today.
For lunch we ate our Leftover Pizza and had a Yogurt Cup for dessert.
When we headed out the door the Sky appeared to be clearing but the Wind was blowing hard enough that it was jolting the Trailer from its impact. Looking around everything is still turning green from all the recent Rain that we’ve had.
Our first destination was RV Lifestyles where we found a replacement Door Panel Slide. When we were opening the Screen Door the other day a piece of it just snapped off making it easy for bugs to find their way in.
Heading up Main Street we went to the Chevron gas station where I topped off our Jerri-Can with High-Test Gasoline for our Generator. Since we are expecting a number of Cloudy Days in a row our Solar Panels might not be capable of charging our Batteries so we’ll need to use our Generator to accomplish that. When Wayne said that our Gasoline was too OLD I thought by topping it off would give it a bit more life. JB mentioned that the lower grades of Gasoline contain Ethanol and recommended only using High-Test.
We were soon on our way back to La Posa South and the slight Blue Sky we had seen before had disappeared. Kathy went back to adding things to our Spreadsheet while I did some research. By 4:30 we could hear the sound of Rain on and off on our roof. By 5:00 it looked like the Sun had already set and we had to start turning Lights on inside our Home so we could see what we were doing.
By 5:30 it was Raining steady but it felt comfortable so I looked at The Weather Network and had a good laugh. They were showing Sunny Skies with 70 F with 16 to 24 MPH Wind. The Flags at our neighbour Ken’s tent were unwavering.
For supper Kathy made us each a Grilled Pork and Salad Wrap then topped it off with a slice of Strawberry/Rhubarb Pie. It all tasted wonderful and left us satisfied.
By 8:00 our lights appeared to be dimming so it was time to run our Generator. The Rain is forecasted to continue all night. Looks like the Desert is going to get greener. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

Words of Inspiration

Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that, but simply growth; we are happy when we are growing.

  2. I started a spread sheet of budget, income and expenses when we started fulltiming. I have continued it now even as we start our 3rd year of having a house again. One of these months I plan to stay within budget.
