More Ups and Downs.

Out of desperation to get a good night’s sleep, last night we both enjoyed a hot mug of Sleepy-Time Tea before going to bed. We both slept like a couple of rocks to the point that we slept in this morning. Even after opening all the Blinds to let what light would come in, I had to go back to pull the Blankets off Kathy’s head and wake her with a Kiss. After a smile she had quick look at the Clock and nearly jumped out of bed. It was at that moment she started shaking uncontrollably, because it was warmer in bed, than out.

We enjoyed our late breakfast and talked more about what happened yesterday. She always loves to go out with Karen and Melissa, because of the fun and laughter they have together.

Thought it was 23 F (-5 C) with the Thirty MPH Winds that were carrying fine flecks, it made it feel more like 9 F (-13 C).

While Kathy was enjoying the way her Computer was then working, I kept hearing a Vibration Sound from our phones. When I checked it was not mine. It was a text telling Kathy there was a waiting Voice Message, that had come in yesterday afternoon while she was out with the Girls. The problem is that anything she puts in her Purse, wiggles its way to the bottom. Even with her Hearing Aides she seldom hears it in there. Our Family Doctor already referred her to a Specialist to deal with her High Blood Sugar. They want to set up an appointment, but all she needs to do is curb her appetite for Bread.

After lunch Kathy was still feeling the affects of the Sleepy-Time Tea but didn’t want to fall asleep. Since it was still Sxxwing outside, we soon headed out the door to walk the halls like we did a few weeks ago. Again, we climbed the Stairs to the Ninth Floor then headed to the North Stairwell up to the Tenth Floor. We then headed to the South Stairwell and started working our way down. Unlike the last time, this time we made it all the way down to the First Floor and back up to the Second Floor, before taking the Elevator up to our floor.

All that exercise felt good, as a fact it wasn’t my Hip that had us stop, but Kathy was getting a little short of breathe. Maybe, if we keep doing this and both lose some weight, we’ll both be breathing easier.

We sat for a few minutes before I started cooking supper. We enjoyed Grilled Ham, Sauteed Zucchini, Brussels Sprouts and Homemade Fries. We topped it off with a bowl of Cubed Cantaloupe for dessert.

Once the Dishes were all cleaned and put away, we headed back to the Computers. After getting Kathy’s running properly yesterday, I was !@#$%^ed when mine would not let me go On-Line or open my files. After it was restarted I found the Anti-Virus stopping everything and had to restart it again. I later found that it had wiped out the Mathematical Equation on the same Spreadsheet it did a month ago. It somehow added an extra variable on all the Yearly Sums. I’ll finish getting it fixed tomorrow.

We later watched a Hallmark Christmas Movie for some entertainment.

Welcome to December.

I Played While Kathy Was Away.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

For the Fourth Night in a row, I’ve spent more time awake that laying in bed. It didn’t help that I set the Alarm before going to bed last night. In the end I was up before it went off, so I simply opened the Blinds and woke Kathy with a Kiss.

I had it all Planned last night, we simply took our morning Meds before getting out the door. I let the Car and Kathy warm up a bit while I brushed off its White blanket. Inside the Car, Kathy called me Frosty for the colour change of my clothes.

My Plan was to stop at Wendy’s for their breakfast special and Coffee. Total Cost was only $4.20, Taxes Included. By the time we finished eating the Wind had cleaned the Car off.

Our destination was our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh. Twice a year, along with our daughter-in-law Melissa, they get together for a “Girls Day Out” and today was one of those days. After a quick visit they said “Good-Byeand headed out, while I headed back home.

I had Planned on going to the Gym to use the Resistance Machines, but with the lack of sleep could not muster up the energy.

Instead I had other things on my mind. First I read all the Blogs we follow, along with all my Communications. It was past 1:00 before I had a snack to carry me through the day. Kathy’s new Computer decided to hide all the Shortcut Icons that I had installed for her. I replaced one only to have it immediately disappear as well. I kept trying different things in the Settings until after Ninety Minutes, I finally found an unchecked box that said “Show Icons”. Suddenly everything I had installed was back on the screen. (How did it get Unchecked?)

I found a few things of interest to read on MSN to fill in the time. I looked out the Balcony Door at 3:30 and could not see the last row of cars in the lot due to the blowing Sxxw. I was a little worried how the Girls were doing. It was past 5:00 when Kathy walked in the door. They’d had only a few Flurries the entire day.

The 6 o’clock Local News that was preempted yesterday was back on today. The Weather Guesser did not give us good news. We might see the Sun a couple of times in the next week and the Temperatures will hoover around or below the Freezing Mark, but the Wind Chill will make it feel colder.

While the Split Pea Soup we were going to have for our late supper was warming up, I looked out the Balcony Door to see everything, including the streets, were all White in colour.

We did watch a Hallmark Christmas Movie for entertainment. Before the show was over we both had a mug of Sleepy-Time Tea. Maybe we’ll sleep tonight.
