Three Months.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Since I was again up before Kathy, and it only took a minute to serve breakfast when she joined me. By that time the Roof Tops and Vehicles in the parking lots were no longer White and the temperature had snuck above the Freezing Mark.

We had barely returned to the Computers when I got a from the Metropolitan Hospital. They were doing a Post-Op Evaluation not about the Hospital but if I was feeling any improvement in my Hip, if I was using any Pain Medication, Often, Sometimes, Seldom, how much walking I’ve been doing and if I was using a Walker/Cane. It was at that point they reminded me that it was Three Months today that I had the Surgery. I keep thinking, I’m doing slow, and they keep saying I’m doing Good.

We were just about to have lunch when Kathy got a call from Guardian Storage, saying we had a Package. It didn’t take long after we had eaten our Italian Wedding Soup that we were out the door. The 34 F (1 C) temperatures weren’t too bad, but with the 25 MPH Wind Gusts it was noticeable.

There was a backup of traffic just past the Traffic Light as a Huge Crane was maneuvering in position to the Water Filtration Plant just up the road, so we changed our direction.

I’ve mentioned how the Dollarama chain stores are independently owned, and they don’t always have the same stock. With this unexpected detour we stopped at the location closest to where we live. I threw our Reusable Shopping Bags on the floor so I could get the Juice we drink that had been shoved to the back of the bottom shelf. Getting down while holding on to the Shopping Cart was easy, but getting up was more of a challenge.

We drove west on Wyandotte Avenue before heading south on Jefferson Boulevard. Jefferson has been closed to thru traffic since April and when I didn’t see Detour Signs the other day, I figured it was time to check it out. They replaced the Sewers and Water Lines, before getting a fresh base layer of Asphalt. They’ll probably put the top layer on in the Spring.

There were Two New Attendants (????) at Guardian Storage today. When Kathy went to get the Package that was addressed to me, she had to show proof of who she was before they released it to her.

The Soup we had for lunch had worn off and needed relief, so we stopped at Tim Horton’s for comfort along with a Small Coffee and a Smiley Face Cookie. Since they are for Fund Raising that will benefit Local Charities, we enjoyed our snack. There were a few upsetting moments as we were sitting there. The traffic driving by Fifty Feet way, suddenly disappeared behind a wall of White. Luckily, it only lasted a Minute.

We stopped at another Dollarama, before the Zehr’s grocery store. When we got back home, we were luck we had our Two-Wheeled Folding Shopping-Cart to help bring everything upstairs.

Oncethe groceries were put away, we opened our Amazon Package. I’ve mentioned about buying books that our friend Nick Russell writes. The other day his Big Lake Sinner book the 25th in the series became available, so it was ordered along with another book that caught my eye. Apparently, the person filling the order could not find it on the shelf and set Big Lake Ninja the 16th book in the series instead, that we already have in its place. Amazon has already issued my Refund. Kathy is already reading the Book that I ordered. It’s okay as long as she doesn’t give it away before I read it, like the last time.

We waited until the 6 o’clock Local News was finished before sharing a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza that It didn’t need to add anything to.

We later watched a Hallmark Christmas Movie for entertainment.

There’s more to do tomorrow.

  1. That's nice the hospital called to check up on you.
Our hospital does the same thing we get surveys in are emails and we get thank you cards from the nurse's from when you're in recovery.
We ordered peanut butter from Amazon the other day and got a fish tank heater.
Not sure if they know what the left hand from the right hand is doing.
    Stay warm.
