Gusty Winds and New CPAPs.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It was back to sleeping the way I should have last night and I didn’t change any medications. It’s like my body has not gotten into any kind of normal sleep pattern.

I was at my Computer by 6:30 this morning, so it gave me a chance to check all my messaging before Kathy came out to join me at 7:30. We had Cereal for breakfast before heading over to the Computers again.

The Southwest Wind was pounding against our Balcony Door, at speeds up to 35 MPH and would continue throughout the day.

Around 10:30, I busied myself in the Kitchen cleaning, slicing then cooking the Celery-Root we had in the Fridge. It was the perfect size for us to share for our lunch without adding anything else to our meal.

It was shortly after 2:00, when we headed out the door. The way the neighbouring building and our’s are positioned, they create a Vortex thus amplifying Winds that come between them. If you are not wearing a Coat that will keep you warm, you will freeze at this time of year.

Being that I know my way around the City better than Kathy and I didn’t want to bore her taking the same routes all the time, I took a simple but different route.

First thing we did was to drop off the prescription I had from our Family Doctor’s visit yesterday at Health First Pharmacy. The waiting time would have been too long, so I said we’d be back. That means we’ll have another chance to get out.

We drove across the City on Wyandotte Avenue, then we went straight down Dougall Avenue until we reached Vital-Aire. We were there to get our new CPAP Machines. Tiara set us up in a room for Jim to set up the Machines and sign a whole bunch of Forms. He was careful to ask us how we needed them set up, but it wasn’t until minutes ago that we realized that there was One Setting I forgot to mention. These machines are Automatic but they have to be set to Manual. We both have a tendency to breath so shallow that the CPAPs shut down, leaving us Gasping for air, before they restart. We’ll use our old Machines for the night.

We stopped at Pita Pit to enjoy a Healthy Fast Food for our supper.

Back at our building the Southwest Wind practically had us running from the Car to the back door.

Things should clear up as well as cool down for tomorrow.

Krackers

You know you're getting old when,

If you're doing the speed limit, and you're in the way.

  1. Those super windy days are not fun for me. I just never got use to them down on the Gulf of Mexico coastal areas.
