A Near Miss and Another Outing.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I barely stepped into the kitchen, when Kathy came out to join me this morning. The only logical thing to do was to make Toast for breakfast.

Immediately after checking The Weather Network to see what the temperature was with all the Sunshine shining in our windows, I had a strange premonition. We keep all our appointments written on Calendars along with a Planner, that I hadn’t looked at this week. The moment I opened the Planner our day’s activities changed. We went from relaxing at the Computers, drinking our Coffees, to scrambling to get out the door.

Since Kathy still had to put here socks and shoes on, I headed out to get the Car. Since Kathy doesn’t handle the Cold Wind as well as I do, so this was a blessing for her. I barely pulled up to the rear entrance when she came out.

What had happened was Kathy had an appointment at Dyna-Care in Tecumseh, for a Two Month Blood Test for her Rheumatologist to monitor her treatment. Following a line of traffic that were also in a hurry, we would have arrived only Ten Minutes Late, until we came across a Crane set up on the road leading in to the parking lot. Five Minutes was all it took for us to drive around to and through another Plaza’s Lot across the street. Luckily there were others there to fill the time and our tardiness was ignored, especially when the Crane was visibly outside their door.

Rushing around like that makes Kathy nervous and when she is nervous, she gets hungry. The Toast we’d had earlier were long forgotten, so we went to A&W and had their Breakfast Combo with Bacon, Eggs over easy, Toast, Hash Browns and Coffee. We did not need any lunch after that.

Luckily back at our building the Wind was at our backs so Kathy was safe. Before taking my Coat off, I went out on our Balcony to install our Air Conditioner Cover as a way of keeping cold air out. The Wind had me nearly pinned to the wall.

Back on our Computers the first thing I did was to start reading all the Blogs that I had missed this morning. It was nearly 1:00 when I checked my E-Mail to find an order Kathy had made Three Weeks ago had been delivered. Who wants to stay cooped up in an Apartment when you can get out to run an errand on a Sunny day?

We were just pulling up to Guardian Storage as Melissa was dialing our number. Recognizing our Car, she immediately hung up. At least I didn’t have to guide this Delivery Driver to our Mailing Address like yesterday.

It felt good to be out, so instead of going home, we went Walmart walking. In the process we found some Food Stocks that have suddenly disappeared from a lot of store shelves. Also considering the season, a few other things were added to our cart as well.

There was Rush-Hour Traffic everywhere when we came out, so instead of getting frustrated we headed for home.

The Wind was still at our backs, but had Kathy nearly running up the driveway. After resting a few minutes Kathy attempted to try on the Pants she had ordered. Even though the Size she had ordered was larger than what she was wearing, the Chinese Made Pants would probably fit a Five Year Old. We’ll deal with that tomorrow.

We enjoyed Veggie Wraps for supper along with a small Sundae for dessert.

Though the 6 o’clock Local News Weather Guesser had adjusted the Daytime Forecast for the next Week for the better, but it seems to have been offset with Colder Nighttime Temperatures.

We later watched another Murder Mystery for entertainment.
