Exchange and Downpour.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I actually slept until 7:30 this morning and managed to clean lots of things out of the Fridge, for us to eat for breakfast. The only problem after making my creations, I needed to put them back in the Fridge until Kathy got up. That gave me time to start Blog reading before she joined me.

Unfortunately, some RVers are experiencing health issues and others mechanical issues. We’ve all had those things rear their heads on us. Many Newbies would say “That doesn’t happen to us”. The correct answer to that is “Yet”. The more we bounce our RVs down the road, things loosen or wear. Or if you sit in one location too long, rodents gnaw away at your wiring, whether in the Desert, a Campground, or a Storage Yard.

After seeing a change in the weather heading our way, we headed out the door by mid-morning.

Our first stop was Micheal’s to exchange a shirt that was too small for Kathy. Thinking we had to hand in the return first, we waited until a Customer Attendant told us to go find the proper shirt then come back. When we did, they simply asked if we were happy with the exchange and when we said yes, said “Merry Christmas”. No need for a refund and wads of paperwork that too many outlets put you through, before then selling you the exchanged product. That’s Customer Service.

Kathy mentioned being hungry and I just wasn’t in the mood for the same old same old. We went to Quesada where we watched as others had their meals put together. This is Mexican type food that puts the other big names to shame. Kathy had a Grilled Chicken Salad in a bowl, that I helped direct her away from the Hot Spicy seasoning. I had a Medium Spicy Chicken Burrito that took over Twenty Minutes to eat the entire thing. We’ve had their Tacos before, so the next time we’ll try their Quesadillas. This is a Canadian/Mexican food company.

We had Plans on stopping at Dollarama to pick up a few things, but we were less than a Mile away when the Rain started pouring down. It was so intense that traffic actually slowed down.

We skipped that stop and headed for home. I turned the Car around at our building so I could let Kathy off near the front door. After parking in our designated spot, I waited only Two Minutes before making haste for the back door. I was a little damp but dried off nicely.

The 6 o’clock Local News confirmed more Rain for the next few days, along with Near Freezing temperatures that could bring some Flurries to our area overnight.

Even though it is included in our Rent, we still have not turned our Heat on yet. We are still comfortable with the Heat that comes in from the Hallway.

We watched a Hallmark Christmas Movie for entertainment.

  1. Wow, your apartment building must be well insulated that you haven't had a need for turning the heat on. But then we've had pretty good weather and sunshine always helps.
