Used The Truck For A Run.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night was a step backwards. After struggling to sleep in Bed, I couldn’t even sleep in my Recliner. When I finally lay down at 5:00, it felt like only seconds had passed when the phone was waking us at 8:00. I was too late to get the call but we got the Voice Message.

If you recall Kathy had Blood Test taken this past Tuesday for her Rheumatologist to monitor her treatment. When we last saw our Family Doctor, he wanted to see how Kathy was doing on other platforms, so ordered additional tests. The Voice Message had us calling his Office back. Everything but her Sugar came back good. We’ve been eating too many Carbohydrates and Snacks. That will have to change.

Breakfast was Cereal and when I read the Juice container information list for the first time this morning, Kathy settled for water with her morning medication.

We managed to finish our morning reading while only nodding a few times.

It wasn’t long after lunch that we were out the door. There was one big change, we took the Truck. It has hardly moved this year and it needed the exercise.

Our first stop at Motor City Community Credit Union. It’s that time of month for Canadian Seniors so we had to take care of our Cards. Next was a stop at the Bank to put some eggs in our other basket.

From there we drove to the Expressway and headed for Amherstburg. There was still lots of Construction as we passed through LaSalle but nothing that slowed us down. We were very early for the appointment so we did some Walmart walking first to help keep us going. Like yesterday, a few things fell into our cart.

We had to park at the nearby grocery store because their parking lot was full. Walking across a busy thoroughfare using a Cane has its benefits at this time of year. We only sat in the waiting room for a couple of minutes when they called Kathy in. Her appointment had been made for one purpose but this week she lost a filling. In order to get everything taken care of without delay to other patients it would be Ninety Minutes before we left. Due to the sleep I didn’t have last night, I felt my head nod a few times while waiting. Kathy said she nodded a few times as well, but she was reclined in the Dentist Chair.

When Kathy came out, she was not the least bit hungry due to the Freezing in her mouth. She even managed to stay awake on the drive home. The truck just purred along.

It was past 7:00 before Kathy was ready to have a very lite supper.

We hope all our American readers had a Happy Thanksgiving wherever the were.

With our Local News being preempted, we watched a couple of Hallmark Christmas Movies this evening.
