Another good night’s sleep and I was up by 7:30. While I was in the process of getting things ready for breakfast, Kathy joined me before 8:00. Blueberry covered Cereal was the way to start our day, with our Tea joining us at the Computers.
Looking outside, the Weather Guesser’s forecast was being fulfilled with plenty of Rain to wash everything down with.
While we were talking Kathy noted that her Right Hearing Aide was no longer functioning. The one for her left ear was just replaced for exactly the same reason a couple of weeks back. The only thing we could do was to call Hearing Life to drop it off so it can be serviced. Tina said to bring it in.
I just happen to glance towards my Phone and noticed the screen lighting up, but there was no sound. It was Sorough the young man that I was coaching to weld at Windsor Feedscrew calling. He decided that he wanted to pursue a career as a Welder, so he resigned his job and returned to St. Clair College to do so. He tends to get a little stressed and I’ve always been able to calm him down. Today he wanted to know why he was burning through the metal. With him being there and me being here, I was able to set him straight, something his teacher could not do. When he thanked me, he had to run off to his next class.
I then went through the Settings on my Phone and found the ringer had been turned off. ???? When I checked my Voice Mail, there were Seven Messages waiting for me that I had not ring the first time. I didn’t get to call them all today.
Wanting to clean up some Leftover Stir-Fry Veggies we shared a Veggie Omelette for lunch along with a slice of Tuxedo Cake surrounded with Strawberries for dessert.
With full tummies we were heading out the door to run some errands. Our first stop was Hearing Life in Tecumseh to drop off Kathy’s defective Hearing Aide. It could be gone for a week or longer.
Our next stop was Princess Auto on Walker Road. Having gotten their newest Booklet the day before the Canadian Postal Service Workers went On Strike, I was able to find Solar Powered Security Lamps that would work perfectly on our Trailer, we got Two Sets. There were a few other things we looked at but left behind for someone else to buy. They were also selling Hotdogs for Twenty-Five Cents a piece in support of Hiatus House, that supports Battered Women. We gave a donation.
We also went next door to Micheal’s to look around. We both have new Shirts to wear and Christmas Mugs.
We made another stop before going home at Tim Hortons. This week, Monday to Friday, like last year, they are selling Smile Cookies across Canada. (Not sure if this happens in the US.) All proceeds collected go to Local Charities supporting those in need. Lots of Politicians, Emergency Response Personal, donate their time to put the Smiling Faces on these Cookies. We each added a Small Coffee to go and sat in the parking lot to enjoy them.
Even though it was Rush-Hour, we managed to get home fairly quickly and we even saw the Sun make a few surprise appearances.
With our heavy lunch and afternoon snacks, we didn’t bother having supper. We did watch a couple of short Hallmark Christmas Movies.

Krackers
Teacher: “Didn’t I already tell you to stand at the back of the line?”
Student: “Yes, but I checked and there was already someone there.”
