Dealing With Problems, Doctor’s Visit and Getting The Panels.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

In theory starting early was a good idea but Mile was not at the Plant to open the door for Jason and I. We had to wait for Vinnie the Engineer to show up at 5:50. By the time I was changed and started to Preheat the Feedscrew it was nearly 6:30 which actually put me behind schedule.

It would not be until 7:00 that I would hit the “Begin To Weld Button”. For not having done this size of Screw with this many Zones was a little unnerving for me. It took an Hour Five Minutes to do the just First Zone only to find the Powder was leaving Holes. That meant using a Hand Grinder to dig them out and reapplying another layer to cover it up. It was strange that the PTA actually followed the Channels with only a few adjustments to the Lead-in Sizes.

Thinking that the rest of the day would be a breeze was my biggest mistake when the Holes started to develop as I worked at completing the other Eight Zones. After making the necessary repairs and burying the Screw in the Sandbox it was 5:17 when I punched out for the day.

Kathy had been busy most of the day as well. She had an early start to her day when I accidentally forgot to shut my second Alarm this morning. Even though it was set for Forty-Five Minutes later then the first she wasn’t able to go back to sleep as she normally does.

This morning she had a doctor’s appointment with our Family Doctor. She had not seen him since before the Coronavirus Shutdowns so it was similar to a yearly checkup. Besides giving her her normal Flu Shot he is sending her for Blood Work. Like I’ve said in comments it is not to see if we are healthy but to see what is keeping us going.

On her way back home she stopped at Guardian Storage to collect not only our Mail but all Four Solar Panels that were delivered yesterday. Melissa one of the workers helped Kathy put them in our Car. Kathy then brought them over to the Trailer itself for safe keeping.

I barely had a chance to take my shoes off and Kathy was again serving Chinese Food for supper with Nanaimo Bars for dessert.

Even though we didn’t go anywhere this evening it felt good just being together.
