Leftover Pepper Steak, Donating, Getting Produce and Getting An Invite.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

We both needed a bit extra shut eye this morning which gave us a late start to our day but that didn’t stop us from taking our Coffee/Tea over to the Computers. It seems that these above normal temperatures don’t want to leave the area so we’ll just have to be a little more choosy about what we do.
With the forecast for later this evening through tomorrow not looking too promising we talked about what we needed to do this afternoon. So when it came time for lunch Kathy warmed up the Leftover Pepper Steak and cooked up some fresh Egg Noodles. Having sat in the fridge the flavours always seem to meld together making it taste even better then when it was fresh. Our dessert plate was really different with an Orange, a Yogurt Cup and a Rice Crispy Square. We did a final check of what was in the Fridge before heading out the door.
Our first stop was at the Goodwill drop-off center to donate the Clothes that Kathy deemed she no longer needed. Rather then finding it’s way to the Landfill someone in need can use them.
We finally made our way to Zehr’s grocery store where we had to refresh out Produce and a few items from the Frozen Food Section. Even though there was not as much as we normally buy the costs has truly gone up.

It was just past 4:00 when we arrived back at the Apartment and a short while later we had the everything put where it belonged.

Looking out the Clouds had all disappeared rather then what the forecast had called for. We spent some time back on the Computers but decided to see if the 6 o’clock Local News was on. It was but from London but they cover the Windsor area equally.

One advantage to the Weekend News is it is only on for a Half Hour so when it ended I grilled a couple of Extra Lean Hamburgers and added the condiments on the Buns. A movie had just started on television so we ate our burgers in our recliners.

We barely finished eating when our daughter Karen called to invite us over tomorrow. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that the weather cooperates. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Isn't it crazy just how fast a day goes by? Lunch looks yummy!

  2. It seems that everyone is being impacted by this terrible heat wave.

Your lunch looks delicious why did you not take a picture of your hamburgers? I have wanted one for so long but a recent video out of Georgia at a Wendy's changed my mind.

It shows a woman without a properly worn mask coughing on the food that an employee of Uber Eats was picking up for a customer and he captured it on video and showed it to his client. Really gross!!!

  3. Sound like a good day. Because of Covid there are no garage sales allowed in our park. There is a park only ( over 500 units/sites ) shop and swap. No one is throwing anything out and offering things for free or at a low price Colin purchased a new lighter and easier to wind garden hose the other day on sale. We offered the original 100' hose for free with an explanation that it needed a new end. It went within two minutes. Nice to recycle things.
