Taking Our Time and Stopping Due To Rain.

Our Location today is at Fast Stop Travel Center in Vandalia, Illinois.

It was very much another snuggle morning to warm up today but not like the 30 Something Temperatures we were getting through the weekend. Last night the temp in Gas City, Indiana only went down to the Mid-Forties. The reason was because of the Medication that Kathy is taking for her Rheumatoid Arthritis was making her Very Chilled. It was nearly 8:00 before we headed inside Cracker Barrel to have a lite breakfast but even that left us feeling bloated for the rest of the day.
Having read other RV Blogs about traveling at lower then the posted Speed Limits we took our time heading down I-69 making a couple of stops more for a leg stretch then anything else. We stopped at a Pilot, a Loves and finally at the Fast Stop Travel Center in Vandalia, Illinois never adding more then a quarter tank of Fuel where the Rain started to come down fairly steady.
Last Night's Stop over.
Since our lunch had consisted of sharing a Mounds chocolate bar after driving 262 Miles today we called it a day and walked to the Denny’s restaurant for supper.
That is a Cloudy Sky.
With the lack of Sunlight our Batteries are not completely charging. Also with other things that need to be taken care of we are way behind reading other Blogs. Guess we’ll have lots of catching up to do. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  2. What? No mention of what menu choices you made at Denny's! You must have been tired after those 262 miles to forget that!

  3. Stay well and continue to have safe drives. Maybe a sandwich for on the road? We're trying to get into that habit ourselves. :)

  4. Glad everything is going good. Smooth sailing for rest of the trip.

  5. We always stop and have a sandwich when we are putting in those longer driving days. A candy bar just doesn't quite do it except maybe for dessert. Safe travels and hopefully some warmer weather.

  7. I premake egg salad or tuna salad the night before so when we stop for fuel or just a bathroom break I can put lunch together really fast.

Sorry to hear the Kathy is chilled. Can she try a hot water bottle at her feet but be careful re the heat.

  8. Remember, if traveling I-65 through north Alabama, we are less than 8 miles from the Interstate out in the country with 2 RV sites. One 50 amp FHU. One electric and water. Love having visitors.
