This is getting to be a bad habit waking up by
7:00 in the morning when in fact there is no hurry to go anywhere.
Once we finished breakfast we settled in to get caught up on our
morning reading on the Computer. When we were satisfied with that we
concentrated on things we needed. Kathy was able to find the Receipt
from this past March when we had a problem in St Louis. After
carefully reading we wanted to get over to Vision Ford to discuss
this finding with them.
It was nearly 10:00 when we arrived and Darla
wanted to talk to us so insisted we wait in the lounge for a few
minutes. When she came back she introduced us to Richard the Mechanic
who is working on our Truck. He had some questions for us and then he
gave us a rundown of what the problem was. He even raised the Truck
on the hoist to show us what was happening. It was the first time
Kathy has ever seen the Truck from that angle. By the time he
finished explaining it all we weren’t too happy but knew we weren’t
being steered astray. They would work out the estimate and E-mail us
before 5:00 today.
We stopped at Wendy’s to have our late lunch
off the Value Menu. This gave us a chance to talk over what we were
facing. We’ll make a few adjustments but things will work out.
Back Home Kathy started making Gift Entries on
our Spreadsheet that she uses to be make certain everyone we give
Christmas Gifts to gets equal number of Gifts and in the same price
range all while getting them Gifts that suit each individual.
I changed the bedding and then went over to the
Laundry Room to take care of that. It was close to 4:30 when I
returned with everything folded to find Kathy getting ready to make
supper. She figured we needed some comfort food so she made Spaghetti
for tonight.
Minutes before 5:00 Darla from Vision Ford
called saying that she had E-mailed the Estimate. While talking to
her on the phone we both took a deep breathe when we saw the numbers
($$$$$) and that’s only if there’s no problem with something
else.
Looks like we’ll be here another week. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and
Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Ask
a silly question:
How
come Americans choose from just two people to run for president and
fifty for Miss America?
Prices are crazy on repairs. But I shouldn't complain mine wasn't all that bad this morning.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the old truck is becoming expensive to keep it running. Hope you get it all repaired soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about truck expense that your facing. Never nice, whether at home or on the road, and it doesn't always have to do with the age of the truck. Hopefully it is done sooner then later, stay safe and take care.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what year your truck is and how many miles it has. Seems you've had a lot of trouble with it.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. This year alone it's been over $23,000 on repairs including the cost of a new engine. Since truck is in perfect condition, we really like it and we don't feel like paying upwards of 70k for a new truck. Hope you are now facing such expenses. One bright spot..... we are getting better mileage.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bill, it's not always the age of the truck, nor how well maintained it is, sometimes it's just the way things go. Good luck, hope it's fixed sooner and that all goes well.
