First and foremost both Kathy and I hope that
all our Readers and their Families had an
Enjoyable Thanksgiving.
I know this is a day where normally you give
thanks for everything you have Health, Family sometimes
even Wealth. But while I was doing my morning reading this
morning Bill from the blog One Day More
reminded us that this is also a solemn day. It was 55 Years
today that John F. Kennedy the President of the United States
was Assassinated. Even though we are Canadians
I remember the Principle of our Elementary School walking into
our class and announcing what had just transpired. It was a day that
the World mourned the loss of a Great Man.
We spent the day doing inside chores. Kathy had
lots of Expenses to enter on our Expenditure Spreadsheet
which she hadn’t done since we left McGregor.
I did additional research for things that I need to do.
The Weather Network
posted the entire day that we had Clear Skies with lots of
Sunshine. We both think they forgot to look outside because
the Sun only made a brief appearance while we had breakfast
and then disappeared behind Thick Clouds for the rest of the
day.
For lunch we had Split Pea Soup along
with a shared Bagel with Pineapple Cream Cheese, a
Mandarin Orange, a Few Cookies and a Yogurt Cup
for dessert. Because our activity level was very low we felt stuffed
when we left the table and the only thing we had for supper was our
medications
Once the dishes were cleaned and put away we
watched the movie “Blended”
with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. It’s a
Comedy
about two Single
Parents that had
a disastrous first date but they separately book Family
Vacations to Africa.
You’ll love the results, we did. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and
Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Sounds like you had a nice quiet Thanksgiving day and those are wonderful too. I love split pea soup but don't have it often. I might need to pick some up!
ReplyDeleteI too love split pea soup. It looks wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving.

Sometimes you just have to wonder about the weather guessers. But those kinds of days are good for catching up on indoor chores.
