Early High Sun, More Laundry, Dinner Invitation and We Stocked Up.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

This was another morning that we were both up around 8:00. By the time we finished our breakfast and got to the Computers the Sun was almost overhead eliminating any chance of early morning welding at the Picnic Table. With that in mind we settled in reading E-Mails, News and other Correspondences.

Due to having other issues we had to deal with this past week there was a chore that I had to tend to. Even though I washed all our Bamboo Bedsheets this past week I had deliberately not washed our clothes otherwise I’d have taken up all the Machines in the Laundry Room at one time.

It was almost 11:00 when I arrived at the Laundry Room and the only other person there was waiting for their clothes in a Dryer. I had no issues finding any Washers to get the clothes cleaned. By the time I’d transferred everything over to the Dryers and walked back to hang the Delicates in the Shower to dry Kathy had everything ready for lunch and only had to serve it.

It was around 1:30 when I returned with all the clothes folded but coming inside from the 102 F (39 C) Humidex I needed to sit for a few minutes just to catch my breath. Once all the Clothes were put away I then needed to shave before we headed out the door.

The change of plans that I spoke of in yesterday’s Blog was a dinner invitation for supper at our friend Kathie’s apartment. When we arrived just after 3:30, Kingsley and Kathie were at the door to see us arrive so we had the chance to sit to visit for a short while. Soon Kathie’s sister Cindy arrived followed shortly by Christine, Steve and Liam. Our visit expanded to what everyone was now doing. Liam will be going into Grade 8 when he returns to school in the fall. It only seems like yesterday when we attended his Christening. The meal was delicious, Salad, Spiral Cut Ham, Corn and Scalloped Potatoes. That was topped off with a Turtles Cake and Ice Cream.

It was after 7:00 when we said our Good Byes with Hugs and Kisses but our day was far from over. We needed to stop for some groceries to refill our Fridge and Pantry. As anyone who Fulltimes in their RV knows you don’t have much room in those Fridges or Freezers to really stock up so you are at the store every few days.

On the way Home we also stopped to get Gasoline but since this is a Long Weekend the prices are far from low.

The final part of the drive was made with the setting Sun shining into our eyes. When we arrived at the Park the front parking lot was full, when we drove through the Gate to the Park we saw the Wedding Party getting their pictures taken with the Natural Sunset as the backdrop.

It felt good to relax after getting everything put away. The next couple of days are forecasted to feel above the Century Mark so we’ll see what we can do. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. Sounds like you had a happy day (with the exception of laundry). Dinner sounded delicious—and it’s great to share a meal with friends or family.
