Kathy went to bed shortly after 11:30 last night knowing that I was still minutes away from posting yesterday’s Blog, she had kidded me about falling asleep in the chair. I assured her I was wide awake but I barely managed to get the pictures loaded and the Blog published before midnight then I pushed on getting my documents ready for today’s post. That’s when my eyes Blinked, and it was then Twenty Minutes later then it was when I last looked at the clock.
Hey that's where we had our nest this spring.
We both managed to sleep quite soundly last night as a fact I don’t even recall waking once throughout the night. When 7:30 came around I started my morning chores in preparation for breakfast and getting an early start on my Blog Reading. Kathy was coming downstairs by 8:00 and we were off to an early start. While eating Kathy saw what appeared to be a gathering of birds on the Tonneau Cover of the Truck. We figured they were looking for someplace to make a Nest. The first thing I did when I got outside this morning was to make certain there was no way they could get back inside our Pinbox.

After eating and having a second cup at the Computers we needed to take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures. We were soon outside riding our Tandem Bicycle around the Park. On days of higher temperatures, it bothers Kathy’s breathing too much so we miss our rides. Changing the direction of our travel and skipping a street then looping back to ride it from the opposite direction started adding extra distance to our ride. By the time we had finished we had actually taken all the streets in the Park One and a Half Times because we rode some in both directions.

Back at our Site we were cooling off under the Gazebo when we could hear our Phone ringing. By the time I unlocked the door we missed the call but got the message. Kathy called our daughter Karen who was calling to remind us that she and Greg were going to Tennessee with their Motorcycle for a week.

Since it was nearing noon Kathy made us an early lunch of Soup and Sandwiches topped with the last of the Bing Cherries for dessert.
Rewelding the Pant Hangers.
That Red Box next to my knee is the Welding Machine.
Kathy uses Multi-Hangers to hang her Pants in the Closet but they are made for Houses or Apartments making it so that her Pants tend to drag on the Floor of the Closet. Since I was going to be working outside on the Gate Project for our friend Kathie I had Kathy get me One of those Hangers at a time. By shortening the Hook by Two Inches her Pants no longer touch the Floor and Kathy is really happy about that.

While I was working on the Hangers and the Gates Kathy busied herself cleaning up our Front Flower Garden. She cut back the Stalks on our Yucca Plant but collected the Seed Pods to give to people we know that want them for their Home Gardens.
Welding on the Gates.
Notice our Escapee's Wind Spinner by the shed.
I mentioned before how frustrating this has been welding on these Lightweight Metal Gates. Not having the proper Welding Machine for this meant that I was constantly burning through then chasing the holes to fill them in. Just before supper I finally managed to fill the last of the Holes.

While I grilled some Chicken Breasts on the Weber, Kathy was busy making a wonderful Salad, sautéing some Portobella Mushrooms and making us a dessert. We both hate wasting food and we had a couple of Chocolate Muffins that were starting to get hard so she made them into a Chocolate Sundae Cupcakes. The meal tasted delicious ant the dessert tasted fresh.

After supper I was back outside grinding the Hangers and Gates. Heavy Clouds started filling the Sky so once the grinding was done I came inside to cool down before getting a refreshing Shower. We'll see what we do tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  2. You and Kathy get more done in a week than I do in a month.

After quitting Tramadol cold turkey and the awful withdrawal, I have a tooth way in the back that is acting up. Friday night I thought maybe I just bit down too hard on something, but noticed sharp pains in the temple area of the same side of my head at the same time. I ignored it as much as possible, yesterday, but was dreaming all night long about arguing with the dentist. I woke up at 4:30 with a toothache. I don’t want to go back on the Tramadol, but I can’t call the dentist until Tomorrow or they will charge me the price of a car. I have no luck—that darn black cloud. I could cry.

What kind of birds? Are they trying to build another nest?
