After going to bed on freshly cleaned Bedsheets one
would expect to have an incredibly restful night’s sleep. Where is the
Complaint Department? After tossing and turning and simply staring at the
ceiling I was lucky to have gotten Three Hours of Sleep and then I was
awake by 8:00.
When we finally finished breakfast and settled in at
the Computers with our Coffees one of the first things I did was
to correspond with the interested parties for the Unit we are selling.
When you advertise on Kijiji you advertise according too the
area you live in but that doesn’t stop buyers from looking wherever the product
they are looking for is. They also expect you to ship it for that price. Why
bother selling it?
Part way through the correspondence we received a call
from our Optimologist needing to reschedule Kathy’s one-month Follow-up
Appointment. Something about an out of town emergency. We figure that with this
being a Long Weekend, he just wanted to make his weekend even longer.
Kathy searched the Fridge and said we were
having Leftovers for lunch. Leftover Broasted Chicken, Leftover
Celery Root and Leftover Strawberry covered Yogurt.
I was outside before noon and after getting all set
up on our Picnic Table as a workbench I couldn’t do any welding. The Sun
was so high in the sky that it was reflecting into the back of the Shield
making it impossible to see what I was doing. I even tried Duct Taping a
dark Rag to the top of the shield but the Sun was too bright.
Taking a break, I managed to get a few other things
done inside before Kathy suggested we watch a Matinee Movie. I needed
something to make me laugh so we watched “Adventure 2 the Incredible Island”
with Dwayne Johnson. It lifted our spirits.
For supper we grilled a Thin Crust Cheese and
Spinach Pizza. It was cooked in Twelve Minutes and tasted great but
being a Thin Crust meant there were no Leftovers.
By 6:00 the Sun was behind the Trailer
so I could finally see what I was welding. I’ve mentioned lately how thin this
material is and how I had to continually fill holes that I was burning through.
When welding such thin metal, the best way to do it is with a M.I.G. Welder
which uses a wire feed and lower heat. If you burn a hole with that it can be
simply filled. All I have here is a Stick Welder which needs more heat
to weld then the M.I.G. Welder. After chasing a hole that didn’t want to
fill imagine how I felt finding a number of M.I.G. wires that had burnt
through when those Gates were originally made. I could not finish this
evening as it felt like I was losing ground rather then making headway.
We’ll see what we get into tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
Krackers
You know you're getting old when
everything hurts,
and what doesn't hurt doesn't work.
Sounds like you two have been busy, as always. I cannot believe it is August already the summer is flying by.
ReplyDeleteWe have opted not to have a big rummage sale instead Tom has been posting a few things on our local site and the rest we are donating. He really likes it when people say they want an item then never show up.
Take care.
I definitely know your no-sleep pain. I have the same problem and nothing has ever worked. Love it when I can get at least 6 hours!! Good luck with the welding!!
ReplyDeleteWe have generally been really lucky when it comes to selling on Kijiji. Sometimes it goes in a snap and others take longer. Frustrating when you get asked 'is it still available?' and then nothing. Good luck.
