Still Making Progress And A Visit.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night after posting the blog I performed the usual computer routine before shutting down. Closing other open programs, reading all the bloggers who had posted since I last looked then verified our countdown counter was working properly. It was indicating that we were officially under three weeks remaining before we become Fulltimers. As Kathy lay down it was like she was instantly asleep where I took at least two minutes to accomplish the same result. Kathy slept soundly and didn’t stir until she got up this morning. I dreamt most of the night. That is fine for most people but not for me. When I dream it is normally about doing work and then I am actually physically moving in bed as if I were really doing the job. By having looked at the countdown counter I was dreaming that we were at the final day and going through all the actions of moving articles still in the apartment into the trailer. When I have those kind of nights I actually wake up more tired than when I went to bed. I have to stop looking at our counter until after we’ve made our move.
While we had our breakfast we witnessed that the weather guessers were accurate about our getting flurries all day long just by looking out the balcony door. The only thing they got wrong today was the amount so by noon when it turned to rain we no longer had to worry about cleaning off our vehicles. Once our morning reading was finished we both had our share of chores to take care of today.
After lunch Kathy finished sewing the second room darkening curtain that she is making for our trailer. Later, when she put it next to the first panel that she’d made she found the trim was mounted at a different height at the bottom of the panel. When she attempted to remove the trim her arthritic hands were not allowing her to do the job. Using our magnifying goggles, it took me nearly three hours to get the trim removed from that panel. As a fact Kathy had to make supper and clean the dishes by herself so that I could finish the job.
We headed over to visit with our daughter Karen since we haven’t seen her in nearly two weeks. Tyler was also at home trying out a new physical fitness routine downstairs in his workout room. Greg was at work while Kylla was out with a friend. Poor Sanford really missed us and wouldn’t leave our sides the entire time we were there. We had an enjoyable visit but were home by 9:00.
The weather forecast on the Local News showed near seasonal temperatures for our area for next weekend with a decrease in the wind speeds as well. We might get some of our chores on the trailer competed then in preparation to our Fulltiming Adventure. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Looks so nice, as for sleeping, I'm happy if I can get several naps through the night. My brain refuses to shut off, Ronda sleeps like the dead. :)

  2. I certainly hope the weather guessers get this one right. We need Mother Nature to bring Spring back!

  4. Rick, I to have those movement dreams. Nancy has to wake me up when I am struggling.

  5. I would have added a second row of trim so they matched.

  7. Once you are full time on the road, then you will probably relax a whole lot more! There's just so much to do I imagine.
