Which Way Do We Go?

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Since we weren’t in too big of a rush to hit the road this morning we felt comfortable enough to wait until this morning to pack up the computers. We were up before 8:00 and decided to go over to the Rock Glen Club House to enjoy their free Sunday morning pancake breakfast. All we needed to do was bring our own plates, cutlery and coffee cups. We had gotten there fairly early and by the time we left the line was starting to form out the door.

Knowing that George and Suzie would soon be leaving to go the Pinery Flea Market we went over to say our good byes right after we finished breakfast. This also gave George a chance to show me how his solar controller was set up and we just kept on talking shop until Suzie and Kathy let us know the time was getting late. With our final hugs and handshakes Kathy and I headed back to our trailer to pack up and George and Suzie headed off towards the Pinery. We hope they had an Awesome day.
We thought this storm cloud was following us.
One thing we did different this morning was that we packed things that had to be brought into the apartment directly into the back seat of the truck so we wouldn’t have to move it at the storage yard in the heat of the afternoon. Even taking our time to leave we were still on the road before 11:30.

Kathy had talked to me while I was working on draining the tanks and packing the utilities but apparently I didn’t quite understand what she was saying to me. As our new Rand McNally GPS was directing us down the road I kept arguing that it didn’t sound right but Kathy said that was how I had said to set it. It wasn’t until we were heading into London that I asked where I wanted it set it for. London not Windsor?

After having lunch and fueling the truck it took two hours travelling the 401 before we arrived at the storage yard in Windsor two and a half hours later than originally planned. We now had to empty the fridge and freezer to take home with us. It was 5:00 in the afternoon by the time we had everything we had taken today back in the apartment put away.

We arrived at the nearby A&W to have a quick and inexpensive supper (coupon) because we were on our way to see our Grandson Matthew play soccer at the Ford Test Track. We had been told they started to play at 6:00 but that was practice time.

The teams were back in their regular colored uniforms tonight. The gold uniforms had been used for the special games against the more elite players last month when they had combined the two teams for the events. Tonight many of the less dramatic players really surprised everyone causing the game to end as a tie which required a shootout. Matthew’s blue team finally beat the red team in this process.

Even though there is another special game next week at a different location this was the last regular game of the season tonight. After the game awards were given out and we were pleasantly surprised when Matthew won the Most Improved Player for his team. Way to go Matthew we’re proud of you.

Tomorrow we still have a few things to get at the trailer but there’s some planning going on for maybe another short outing before the end of the season. Plus I’ve got more measuring to do for another project that Kathy suggested for the trailer. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. It was a nice visit and glad you stopped by.
Sounds like you kinda took the long way home, but at least you made it safely.
