Our Location today is Huntsville, Ontario, Canada.
Anyone who has had trouble sleeping before knows how
important it is to have the same sleep schedule every day to help fight the
problem. It is that much more important to anyone with Sleep Apnea to follow
the same schedule. With the late return to the trailer and posting the blog so
late last night really threw both Kathy and I off our sleep schedules.
Kathy was so tired that when she heard it raining at 2:30
she just laid awake until nearly 5:00 before falling back to sleep because she
was so overtired. I heard the rain as well but after closing windows and vents
managed to fall back asleep almost immediately. We both slept in until nearly
9:30 this morning.
After checking the computers this morning we wanted to go
back to Huntsville and see other parts of town that we didn’t get to do
yesterday. Remember the other day when I said it had been ten years since the
last time we were here and how much the town had changed. That was definitely
an understatement! We traveled through areas of the town that you could see had
just been built not too long ago in what used to be forested areas. All the
downtown area that had been transformed yesterday had all been cleaned up
leaving no evidence of what had taken place.
It was nearly 1:30 when we decided to stop at the Kings
Chinese Buffet here in Huntsville for lunch. They have also changed since the
last time we have been here last and even though the food was good there wasn’t
as much selection as there used to be.
We were both very satisfied when we left yet not stuffed. Still
the idea of walking off some of those calories came to mind so we crossed the
road and walked around inside the Canadian Tire Store and Staples. It wasn’t
until we got to Staples that we bought the 2015 calendar for our Day Planner
which works better for keeping track of appointments than our computers.
Back at the trailer I transferred the bicycle carrier to the
back of the truck and mounted the bikes for our trip tomorrow. Our biggest joy
we love to do in this area is to ride the old railroad trail line that runs
through Algonquin Park. Kathy and I spent most of our vacation time for our
first four years together camping in tents in that park. We had a few oops and
ouches there too but that just made us love it all the more. The reason we haven’t
been there in so long is because there is a lot more to see in this beautiful world
so we go to places we haven’t seen before that interests us.
We have missed seeing Algonquin and we’re wondering what has
changed there in the last ten years. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

ReplyDeletePaul rode the old railroad trail lines when we were in Nevada. He loved it too. They had several tunnels that he really enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteIf the photos are of your campground, it looks so lovely.
