It seems that there is always something new happening in all our lives. Some are considered advancements while others set backs. One you expect on a regular basis, the other can only be viewed as a bump in the road.
After
having the switch installed as a safety, when Kathy and I were about
to run a simple errand on Saturday the Car would not
start. Being a lamed duck at the moment, we were lucky that our
son-in-law Greg was able to come out to give us a boost. Driving down
Lauzon Road, a Warning
that “The uphill starting system was not Functioning”,
kept appearing as we kept going. The Battery icon was also
lit, so a change of destination brought us to Canadian
Tire who had just installed said Battery,
Twenty-Five Months ago. Supper was a Hamburger and the
bill higher than the last Battery change.
I have been wanting to get cleaned up since my Surgery, but my assistant kept arguing against getting the incisions wet. Finally, yesterday I was not taking no for an answer. Unfortunately, time is taking away her thought process, so the simplest act took longer than that of anyone else, but Three Hours later I was feeling clean and refreshed.
Saturday morning, Kathy decided to have toast for breakfast. Our Galley Kitchen has less working space and storage compared to our former Trailer. Anything atop the Toaster went into the Microwave, instead of on top. After my clean-up on Sunday, she had to use the Microwave to warm up supper, belittling whoever used it for storage and denying it was her.
After
watching a Hallmark Movie
it was time to go to sleep and everything was going well, until
another Pain woke me up. I was
raised by parents that thought, because they both wore Dentures,
it was inevitable that their children would do the same. If we had a
Cavity, it was not repaired but
extracted. On my own, I fought to retain what I had left.
Unfortunately, I now have few of my own natural Teeth
remaining. Suddenly last night, my upper Denture that has
served me well for years, tore into the Gum to the Jawbone.
The only thing that could be done was to remove them, but it also
meant not using my CPAP Machine the
rest of the night.
I
am sitting here writing this post, looking forward to a better,
Pain-Free day
and night.
