Another Busy Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

After posting the blog last night we noticed the light on the Turbo Hub indicating that we had a missed telephone call. Lynn the building manager asked that we call her back and she’d let us know what was happening with the Yellow Jacket situation.

We both slept well but when we got up at 8:00 we knew we’d be pressed for time this morning. The first order of business was to kill a few more Yellow Jackets then make breakfast. As soon breakfast was finished I headed out to the truck to unload the wood pieces that I’d cut at our son Kevin’s house yesterday. Once I’d returned to the apartment I just went downstairs to speak directly to Lynn about the pest problem. She was still on the phone so I had to wait a few minutes before talking to her. As she was telling me of the plan that the exterminator was going to do to take care of the problem Kathy came into the office very excited. Up to this point we believed the Yellow Jackets were entering the apartment by the bathroom exhaust or the windows. Kathy opened the bathroom vanity to remove a towel and there were a half dozen of them in there.  After she emptied the cabinet and killed all the pests she noted a hole around the water pipes coming out of the wall and a yellow jacket coming out of it. Lynn was happy that we now know how they were coming into our apartment.

We took the truck over to Guardian Storage so we could remove the bicycles and the carrier from the rear of the trailer. Since we’re bring the trailer state side tomorrow for winterizing and warranty work we figured we’d take that out of the way of the workers. From the storage yard we went over to our daughter Karen’s where we had asked that we store them in her garage until the trailer is returned.

We went home only for a few minutes so we could change and head off to see Mark Abraham our Financial Advisor for 11:00. Even though we had a lot to deal with we still had time to visit afterwards because over the years we have become close friends with Mark.

We stopped at McDonalds for lunch and more Monopoly Game Pieces. While relaxing for a few more minutes Kathy suddenly became excited thinking that she had won a car but I burst her bubble when I pointed out that she had a sticker in the wrong location.

Climbing the stairs to the second floor in our apartment building we ran into Sandy going to take their puppy for a walk. She said Grant had knocked on our door looking for me so after I got Kathy upstairs I went to see what was up. They were still having problems with the Yellow Jackets worse than Kathy and I. We ended up removing the bathroom vent cover and recovering it the way I’d done our’s. Before there was so much screen that the cover was not sealed to the ceiling allowing bugs to come out from it. Grant was also having problems with his computers with pop ups and many toolbars that had just mysteriously added themselves to his computer making it difficult to be able to go online.

When I returned from Grant and Sandy’s apartment Kathy said Dan the Handyman had just left and had sealed up all the holes in the bathroom so hopefully our problems are over. By supper time I grilled a couple of hamburgers on the Weber Q while Kathy made a nice salad and sautéed the onions to give the burgers that special flavoring. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Cover Letter Advice (Quoting Lines From an Actual Letter) Do: Explain that you're a dedicated worker. Don't Say: "I don't just think outside the box, I stand on top of it. I aim to appease my employer. If he/she isn't satisfied with my work, I will sweat blood and tears until I get them the result that they are enamored with."
