Money Saving, Trailer Project, Dental & Visiting Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Both Kathy and I were up before 7:30 this morning but we had plans that put our bodies into hyper-mode from the word go. Last night Kathy received an E-mail from the Shoppers Drug Mart advising her of a one day special for people who use their Optimum Cards and it covered things that we bring with us when we go south. As soon as breakfast was finished we were out the door headed to the nearest location.

This is where we found out there was some restrictions to what we could buy and take advantage of the sale. We ended up returning quite a number of things to the shelves and only walking out the door with things that were on sale and using one coupon. Bring this stuff home we then took the truck and headed to the next Location at the Tecumseh Mall. We were able to find the stuff that was not on sale at the other store was on sale at this location. Since this is Wednesday we were heading to Amherstburg early today so we again stopped at the Shoppers Drug Mart there and surprisingly found the last of the things on our list that we used another coupon to buy. What all this shopping and coupon use it cost us $279.34 but we saved $363.42 plus we earned points that will allow us another $60.00 in future savings. Not a bad deal.

It was nearing lunch so we stopped at McDonalds for lunch and Monopoly pieces before heading to our son Kevin’s. As soon as we got there I unloaded the wood that had once been a hutch for our printers on our old file cabinet. For the next two and a half hours I slowly and calculatingly cut it into smaller pieces that will eventually transform the inside of our trailer giving Kathy the additional storage space that she needs. Another reason for using the saw so early in the afternoon is our grandson Cameron has very sensitive hearing and the saw noise bothers him. Being this was Wednesday afternoon he was in school so this didn’t bother him. I also had to replace the hitch in the truck bed and the tools I’d removed before the truck went to the body shop. Surprisingly being out in the direct sunlight was causing me to work up a sweat today.

At 4:00 we left to go to the Dentist’s office again where Kathy had another appointment. There were a number of adjustments that needed to be done so it was over an hour before she was done. Leaving there we simply went back to McDonalds for supper and more game pieces.

As mentioned earlier we always visit with Kevin and Melissa and the grandsons. As always we had our normally pleasant and fun filled visit that Melissa who is an avid reader of our blog made note of our mentioning her Phobia in last week’s post. It’s her honesty about herself and good heartedness towards others that we love the most about her.
