More Preparation Changes.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Being so busy most of the day yesterday made it no problem for either of us to sleep soundly throughout the night. In fact when we got up at 8:00 we felt like we could just crawl back in bed for the rest of the day. As soon as we turned on the Weather Channel while having our breakfast we understood why we felt this way. Since the problem with the Yellow Jackets started we have had to run the Air Conditioner in an attempt to keep them out of the apartment. The problem is we woke up to 43 F temperatures outside plus the AC making it hibernating temperatures inside.

After shutting the AC and having coffee and cereal for breakfast we started to feel more alive. We headed to do our morning reading on the computers before getting ready to go out. We have been discussing replacing Kathy’s laptop before we go south for the winter and she also wanted to get rid of her PC. Making a few phone calls we made the decision that today was the day and I unhooked the PC and bagged the laptop for a trip.

Heading out to the town of Essex we went to SX-Videos where we have been getting all our computer work done for the last five years. They boys here are great with us taking the time to explain things to us that we don’t understand and giving us good deals on things we purchase. We got a great deal on and Asus Laptop with the aluminum frame, numerical pad built in, 500 gig hard-drive and 6 gig of Ram. It comes with a two year factory warranty that includes a one year warranty even if we drop water on it or drop the machine. The boys will also be transferring all Kathy’s documents and E-mail addresses to the new machine from both her laptop and PC.

Being that it was nearly 1:00 we headed for the nearest McDonalds in search of lunch and available Monopoly Game Pieces. We struck out as far as game pieces but did manage to win a free muffin that we shared to finish off our lunch.

Back at the apartment Kathy is temporarily using my PC to do more research and lining up our travel insurances. I’m now using her desk for my laptop because for some reason I can’t post our blog from my old PC. It only felt like we had been back at the computers for a few minutes but when we looked at the clock realized we were having a late supper. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Fabulous to Frumpy in Five Day British women take four times as long to get ready for work on Mondays than on Fridays, according to research by British retail chain, Debenhems. On average, women spend 76 minutes getting ready on Mondays, with almost a third of that spent on their hair, 18 minutes on make-up, 16 minutes trying on different combinations of clothes, and the rest taken up by showering and washing. This is reduced to 40 minutes on Tuesdays and continues to decline as the week goes on, falling to 19 minutes on Fridays.

  1. Always nice to get a new computer, I am sure Kathy will enjoy the fast speed of the new processor too, once she gets used to it.
